He doesn't want out of Buffalo but wouldn't cry about a trade. It wouldn't look good for him to say publically he wants out but would no doubt love to get out. That is what I think. Why would Bob post that and add fuel to it?

His agent, Peter Fish, said he doesn't want out of Buffalo.

So, the face-value review appears as follows: Eichel doesn’t want out of BUF; BUF doesn’t want to trade Eichel; move along, nothing to see here. Fair enough. But some rumours are worth checking out/mentioning. Which I’ve now done. Now back to draft prep.

Eehhh... fun rumors and of course gm’s are gonna call. I think jack has one more year before it goes nuclear. And hopefully Adams has some more staal like trades in him to better this roster... about 12 days until we have a real idea of Adams metal...

The Bills scored 19.6 PPG last year.

There are 6 teams in the NFL this year that have scored less than 20 points per game.

Broncos 0-3
jets 0-3
Texans 0-3
Giants 0-3
Eagles 0-2-1
Chargers 1-2
Redskins 1-2

That’s a combined record of 2-18-1.

The Bills went 10-6 last year scoring sub 20 points.

So Josh Allen gets credit for riding a Super Bowl caliber defence and not even getting a playoff win out of it ?

Yell at Sabretooth all you want but he’s absolutely right.

The Bills wasted one of the best defences in the NFL of that decade.

What’s next Boss. Are Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Peyton Manning (2015) all elite because they rose the coattails of elite defences to Super Bowl Wins ?

Josh Allen this past 3 games is finally worth all the hoopla you guys have been giving him for 2 + years.

Enjoy it and stop crying because the facts showed an average QB last year.

Hopefully for your sake and the rest of Bills nation the results you have seen the last few weeks are indicative of what’s next to come.

I heard this from someone a while ago.

I wasn’t wrong. Allen had to prove he was an actually Qb. He has done that in 2020.

The last 2 years .... he hadn’t.

Again. Read what I posted before running your mouth.

QBs that dont go through progressions and have accuracy issues are not the QBs I want on m team.

Allen learned how to do that and use his eyes to device defenders. See the lee smith TD from yesterday. He didn’t do that last year

Well it wouldn't look good for his agent for Jack to say he wants out especially since he already has the reputation around the league as a de facto GM and coach killer. Whiner wouldn't look good too.

Of course he wouldn’t cry if he got moved, unless it was to Ottawa. And we’ve heard for months he’s been frustrated, well before Adams. So when a new gm takes over its no shock an established gm calls about the availability of said talent... and it’s bobs job to post what he hears to drive clicks and discussion.

It's already been brought up here, this is nothing knew from McKenzie, he wants to see a lot of improvement.

No but for him to bring this up is not the same as EK or some @NHLtraderumors twitter account.

It's Bob's job to have the legit stuff and he posted it on Twitter where hits don't matter. If he wrote it on TSN you might have something about hits.

Maybe Eichel/ Eichei's agent wanted him to put it out there to light a fire on the Sabres to get better faster than they are. The rumor was placed to get the Sabres ass moving.

Imagine my surprise when I started making calls today and heard Jack Eichel trade rumours, including unverified chatter he may have at some point recently requested a trade out of BUF and that NYR were amongst interested teams. This, of course, required further investigation.

“I hear that (trade talk) a lot,” Eichel’s agent Peter Fish said. “Jack wants to win, he’s frustrated (not winning) but, no, he doesn’t want out. Jack is preparing to head to Buffalo at some point here and prepare for the season, whenever that may be. That’s all he controls.”

The messaging out of BUF is Sabres aren’t shopping Eichel, there’s no real desire to trade him, but since Kevyn Adams became new GM several clubs have called about Eichel’s availability. NYR believed to be one of the teams that called. So calls were made; calls were taken.

None of those talks with other clubs resulted in Eichel trade traction. But it’s also believed there has been dialogue between Eichel and BUF to ensure they both want the same thing (to get better obviously) and share the same timetable (sooner rather than later).

So, the face-value review appears as follows: Eichel doesn’t want out of BUF; BUF doesn’t want to trade Eichel; move along, nothing to see here. Fair enough. But some rumours are worth checking out/mentioning. Which I’ve now done. Now back to draft prep.

I can’t blame him.

His NMC kicks in 2022 though so the Sabres honestly have this year and next year at the most before he’s forsure gone.

Many of us read the whole thing and the words of his agent are like the words of a politician at a news conference mostly BS. You can't take them as the whole truth but PR and what they want out and for people like you to believe for now.

No of course.

I’m just saying that if it does get to that point, the Sabres would get a better return trading him before the NMC is in place as by that point he will hold a lot more leverage in terms of where he would want to play.

What a team the Sabres would look like/be if they traded ROR and Eichel

I don't think he will be traded this year but if all this talk and chatter is happening now I hate to see what happens at the end of next year and they don't make the playoffs.

The Sabres can make the moves that get us in the playoffs next year. Whether or not Adams can actually pull it off remains to be seen.

It should be an active offseason though regardless
