They have been playing a lot of nickel. Perhaps getting away from that is a good start.

Could be, having Star opt out hurt, I hope there looking into a big space eater, we play a lot of teams that can run the ball.

Boss can make fun of my theory all he wants but I’ll always die on the hill that you can win by running the ball and playing stout defence.

Just like in hockey, run and gun may get you to the dance but defence and grinding it out gets you the Cup.

In football you need to have a stout defence and run the ball in the playoffs.

Mahomes doesn’t get his ring if the Chiefs defence doesn’t hold teams to an average of 13 points the last 8 regular season games and hold the 49ers to several field goals in the Super Bowl.

Damian Williams had himself a day in the Super Bowl also when it mattered most.

Allen continuing to not turn the ball over and a steady diet of Singletary and Moss and that defence finding its magic and you never know what can happen.

There’s more than 1 way to win
That’s proven in every sport all the time
Your theories aren’t wrong...
But they aren’t the ONLY way to win

So having a good team and good players around you can make you a serviceable player.

He played really good in this game. I wonder who the next guy sabres boot out of town will be? I’m betting on the team that guy ends up on to win the cup.

“Lightning Chief Scout Al Murray gets well-deserved and long-awaited ring as well. He was instrumental in putting the LA Kings’ core together, but was gone before they won their Stanley Cups. He’s been with the Lightning for a decade, he and his staff built a powerhouse”

Somebody give this guy a blank check to be the president of hockey operations.

Kucherov’s 27 assists in the playoffs were third all time behind guys named Gretzky and Lemieux

Could have given it to him also.

Takes a team to win the Stanley Cup even though the goaltender is the one who gets credit for the W and the L

So Ryan Tannehill is a top 4 QB in the NFL ?

Goroppolo is top 2 ?

- Pegullaville

Tannehill? Maybe not top 4, but probably top 10. I thought he was done 4 years ago, but apparently he learned something. Maybe it's the coaching, but the dude's been lights out, he's never had a streak like this in his career. They've allowed 74 points in 3 games, so it's not like he hasn't needed to put up points he accounts for 6 of the Titans' 8 TDs on the year.

I also said those positions had an "outsized" effect, not that they were the sole reason for a win or loss.

Another PP goal for the lightning.

Is Sbroads running the Dallas PK ?

- Pegullaville

Bears are 3-0 yet benched Trubisky at starter.

Am I missing something ?

Aren’t wins a QB stat ?

Trubisky >>>> Watson

- Pegullaville

JFC, you take everything to ridiculous extremes.

Even I know Broads has never said special teams don't matter.

Maybe it’s the fact they have a dominant run game and teams have to load the box to stop the run and he can take advantage of the play action game and throw the ball over line backers and safety’s heads on crossing routes since they are crashing down trying to stop the run.

Just a thought.

I have loved Point since I saw him play in person early 2017. He was fabulous this season and better in the PO's; it was ery, very noticeable when he couldn't play...more than Stamkos being out.
For all the credit I give him, Hedman was the best player throughout the playoffs and especially in the Finals...he was absolutely dominant.
