Without Twitter people would be lost on injury updates , breaking news, trades , deaths ,political news ...

To say its McDonald's is insulting when all the sport writers get everything from that stats , in depth analysis etc ..

Its more like hells kitchen

NO.. everything is stacked against kids.. the world (especially Boomers) is out to get them.. this is the crap they have been fed their entire life and they believe it

FYI.. i am technically a millennial but i am able to think for myself. I also am an OG millennial so we aren't as jaded as the younger ones

- SabresFaninIndiana

Haha this is a whole other can of worms I’m not even going to go into.

I’m right on the cusp, depending on what year of birth you want to go by as different publications suggest different time frames, of a millennial and Gen Z since I was born in ‘95.

I need instragram im banned from snapchat ...
I could go without all 3 for just a month..

Fastfood is different it causes many diseases

Social media is a disease but it can be be fixed quick

Gerbe logic at it's finest:

This disease isn't a big deal, because I prefer it.

This disease is a big deal, because I don't.

They are both terrible, accept it or don't I don't care. There are many people (especially young teenage girls specifically) that are severely damaged because of social media. Currently watching my niece go through it right now, and it's sickening. But yes, the burger from McDonald's is the only thing ailing the world.

social media doesn't want to be "fixed" no moreso than McDonalds wants to "fix" the Royal with Cheese or Big Mac or their french fries

You don’t get it man. I’m not saying in moderation it isn’t fine (much like fast food in moderation won’t hurt either). There have been medical journal articles that show an increase in self destructive behavior right around the time of the social media boom, especially in teenage girls. It’s got nothing to do with people saying stop, and everything to do with content they are seeing, or stuff that they are seeing that they aren’t a part of. It’s taking the most stressful time in a young girls life and multiplying it by factors you can’t even comprehend. But again you know all right

Do you know how much false information is spread because everyone has to be first instead of actually studying and reporting correctly? Or how it's allowed just nastiness to be spread across the world for different reasons (not going political, all sides do it, don't care who does it "worse" or "less"). If you think it's been a positive to mankind, that's great but there are people who feel it's just a trash heap of garbage information in the same way you view fast food. And that's because for the most part, it is.

That is one of the most asinine things I’ve ever heard. How many people make money off of social media? How many people become addicts and have mental problems from it. Kinda like how many people make millions from fast food places vs how many people get diseases from eating at those places. Everything you say makes me more convinced twitter=McDonalds

There are pros and cons to everything in life.

There is a reason though why they don’t show how many likes a picture gets on Instagram anymore.

Social media could very well be the best and worst thing to ever happen to mankind depending on the lens.

Over exposure to Social media is a huge problem. It has been proven time and time again how destructive it can be, studies have proved it.

Influencers actually do a lot more harm than good a lot of the time because of false ideals about what life should be for everyone.

Yeah you're right you know how much I loved snapchat the first week I was depressed without it but found outer things to replace it like boxing ..

Some girls have to post a image to know they're loved

Sometimes social media can be fun or depressing with bullying

I only have an Instagram so I can post pictures with my gf cause she likes that stuff.

I use twitter religiously though but that’s because I follow a ton of financial and sports stuff.

Social media is what you make of it, if you can filter out the crap it can actually be quite useful and pretty beneficial.

Unfortunately for most it’s an addiction that causes several problems.

Sometimes it can be both.

Depends on the person. I enjoy social media but I understand that it causes a lot more harm then good.

That’s what I’m saying. And a lot of times, these kids don’t even know they are “bullying” each other. Like a young girl sees that she’s not invited to hang out, or to a party. For us men (some older then others) we might just be like why didn’t those Richard heads invite me. Whatever. And move on with our day. Teenage girls might say that once, then they see it again, and again, and again. Breaks their self esteem to almost nothing, and no ones the wiser. If you haven’t watched it, watch the social dilemma on Netflix. Makes you think about all these things a little bit. Really compelling arguments on what social media should be vs what it’s become.

Can you wrap your head around the concept that those "many successful millionaires" became that by destroying young minds? McDonald's, BK and the fast food industry made billions by turning the U.S. into a nation of rampant obesity?
