Awesome. Looked great. I’ll try some ribs to see how it goes (of course with less time in the oven lol) - Barnaby36
If all you have is an oven doing a sous vide rib is great. Spend $100ish on a sous vide. 12 hours at 165f. Finish in the oven. |

Yohe is pretty clear this morning he expects Johnson to be traded. There’s enough smoke here now that I’m willing to believe Rutherford wants to trade him, but I’m extremely unsure what that looks like. Yohe said a Murray package, but again, who wants Murray for effectively over $7 mil? |

This is why I asked the question the other day if there's possibly there's a big disconnect on how fans view Murray's value than how GM's value him. If a GM is willing to take JJ along with Murray then that means they really like Murray. I'm sure it puts a serious damper on the return, but this is major addition by subtraction.
While I'm still not thrilled that the Pens would essentially be swapping a bad player/contract with a fairy immoveable contract, as things stand the Pens would have a better team on paper to start the season.
I wouldn't mind them finding a way to dump that Scevior contract either, but that seems unlikely until the season begins. |

Came out great. Took it out at 202f. Any recommendations on reheating pulled pork? Might give a sous vide reheat a try. |

That's definitely a way to go to retain moisture, but honestly and this may seem pretty lame, but slowing heating it up in some sauce is a great way I've found.

sous vide is the best way to re heat for sure, if you got it. I'm lazy and just re-heat in a saute pan. if you still have some of the fat, you can let it go heat up slow, and it'll crisp up nice sort of like BBQ carnitas. |

I don't see a lot of options that really make sense pairing up the two of them, most teams looking for goalie help are tight on cap space. These two maybe.
Buffalo - Murray and JJ for Colin Miller.
Minny - Murray and JJ for Rask.

Where did Yohe state this? I didn't see any new article.

Feds - what do you think about the Wings sending Staal to the Pens with half retained for JJ, a decent prospect like O'Connor and a mid round pick? |

Why do you want Staal? Because of his last name? He's garbage too and even with half of his hit retained its only a 400k savings over JJ and we still have the log jam at LD as Staal is a LD.
EDIT: I just realized you said Pens retain half of JJ haha...so essentially Staal ends up being a 7.32 mill cap hit haha |

Murray will be whatever his contract is, say $4M per. Let's say Murray costs a 2nd to acquire. Let's say JJ costs a 2nd to get rid of. So the acquiring team gets Murray and JJ for free. So getting Murray for free could be considered quite a deal, and is still owed only $4M per, regardless of what they do with JJ.
Just because JJ and his $3.25M x 3 contract is along for the ride doesn't mean it has to be added to Murray's contract. The acquiring team can play JJ (the acquiring team still needs to pay a 3LD at least around $1M regardless), bury him to save $1M cap hit, or buy him out at minimal cost (now JJ only costs $1.2M x2, $1.9M, $900K x3). There are a few rebuilding teams with a lot of cap space and roster spots who probably wouldn't care much about JJ and his contract. |

OTT, DET, NJD, COL, LAK, CGY to name a few.
Supposedly Guerin prefers Jarry (can't blame him there). |

You don’t have any assets I would want to take on JJ unless you’re looking at giving up an unprotected 2022 1st. Already have half a dozen forward prospects better than O’Connor and already have 6 2nds over the next 2 drafts. |

Yeah I have an anova. Gonna use that to reheat some for dinner. I’ve done the pan method before and I do like the bit of crisp it gets. And I still have plenty of the fat. Will try some different methods over the next few days. Is it worth vacuum sealing and freezing whatever doesn’t end up getting eaten? |

Either you misread or I typed it in a confusing manner. Looking for Staal to be half retained. Basically ends up a year one wash with JJ off the books for year 2 and 3.
Basically trying to unload JJ at a bit of a lower cost. Staal contract would be very movable in a deadline or other deal. |

Yeah, maybe there are more good options, but I think we can be confident in two things... Murray is not worth a first rounder and it will cost at least a first round pick to move JJ.
Meaning you either need to add, or take back some poop to get it done. |

The only way I’m considering a move if I’m Yzerman is if you are giving up the 2022 1st or if it’s something like JJ and Murray for Nielsen. |

I don't think it costs a 1st to unload JJ. Probably a 2nd. $3.25M x 3 isn't that much. It's also possible that another GM doesn't view him as horrendous. |

1 year of Staal cost NYR a 2nd rounder. JJ will cost more unless there is a similarly bad asset coming back. |

Oh yeah, freeze what you can't eat, if you can't eat it all over the next week or so. Smoked meats will hold much longer than normal, especially in a nice cold fridge. |
