Lots of rumors out there but nothing really happening. Hopefully the Lightning can end the season tonight so we can start the silly season.
In other news, September 27, 1972 was the day Paul Henderson scored for Canada šØš¦ - Pacificgem
I have been pulling for Dallas, but don't really care either way.
I like both of the teams defense, big strong and agile.ā¤ |

I donāt really care either, but Iād like to see Tampa rewarded for drafting so well, Iād like to see Stamkos get a ring and his name etched on the Cup, and, Iām pulling for Cooper as heās a Prince George BC guy. |

I thought Minivan reprimanded you for the drafting comment yesterday? Apparently they are lucky, nothing more. |

Dhaliwal: Nothing's changed on Toffoli front. Team needs to move some money around to get it done.
Dhaliwal: The market is there to move some bad contracts, but you can't move Loui unless you throw in a sweetner
Dhaliwal: Buyouts could be a last resort for the #CanucksĀ , but they might have to consider it. Sutter is your number 1 candidate. |

He thinks because they havenāt won a Cup theyāre not good at drafting, I guess, Iām of the opinion you just have to be a really competitive team to warrant being called a great drafting team....which they have been for a decade.
To each their own, heās certainly entitled to his opinion, as am I. |

I thought you would be pulling for Jamie Benn, as he is an island boy.

With such little depth in the organization, at centre, I don't think he will be bought out, he is at least a somewhat useful player |

He kinda comes off as a bit of a d!ck to be honest, love how he plays the game but he's not my favourite person. |

I think Dahliwal pulled that one from his ass. I don't see Canucks keeping Sutter on the books for two years instead of one. |

They are lucky, lucky to have the best defenseman in the league, lucky to have excellent depth and lucky to have good drafting.
Hopefully Canucks can get that type of luck. |

Despite my distain for Jim Benning, and even though he's had some misses on the draft floor...his drafting over the past six drafts has been better than average, in fact it's been quite good (at least in the 1st round). |

Ya, I agree. I really don't see Canucks buying out players that provide something to the team, or don't give them any cap relief(Loui), unfortunately |

He makes the most sense for a buyout if you decide to go down that route. Short penalty period and he has a high cap hit. |

His swings for the fences, early on, while giving up draft picks, hurt, but we can't keep crying over spilt milk.
I like most of his drafting, but, taking players like Manukyan and Palmu have me baffled, quit wasting a valuable pick on these types of players.
I would prefer he gambles on a defenseman with some size and other attributes, heck look at Phillippe Myers, left undrafted, then signed by your Flyers. |

His first year I was happy as he collected picks, which are like lottery tickets, the more you have the better chances you have to win. Plus, that 2014 draft was probably his best draft despite missing on Virtanen, his next four picks in that draft are all very capable NHL players, that's hard to accomplish.
But then he started trading them away for quick fixes to be competitive, which disheartened me!! |

To early to tell yet, but, I think the 2017 draft will turn out to be his best yet, obviously Petterson has already arrived, but I expect Lind, Di Pietro and Rathbone will someday be nhl players as well. |

They would be crazy to give a first to move Eriksson . Send Loui and Sven back to Utica and bring in OJ and a forward prospect.

Ya it's too early to tell, those later picks need time to develop. |
