I think 30 teams would have interest in him. These are the sort of deals teams are looking for .

Elliotte Friedman says the New Jersey Devils have made it known that if a team can offer a good young player (26 or under) with some term or team control, they’d be willing to trade one of the 18th or 20th overall picks. #NJDevils |

Brought that up yesterday and if NJ would like JV as on paper he has what they want.
JB seems to have set his budget for including players. Those that don't accept it he will trade or let walk. So we'll know soon before the draft who's on board. |

Yeah not every GM can assemble a team that has 17 wins in a year .
Yzeman genius Benning bad - VANTEL
Are you seriously trying to put that team on Yzerman? That was still Hollands mess and Yzerman had his hands tied with a crap load of useless overpaid vets. Wings will still likely be a lottery team this season but i don't expect them to be as bad as last season. They should be able to be a bit more competitive even if they still lose a lot. |

Do you look yourself in the mirror every morning and just say to yourself "I'm going to believe my own bullpoop"
There's talking out your ass again.
There's only two players since 2014 that are actually contributing to the Lightning that have been drafted by them. Cirelli and Point.
Taken them 12 years since getting a 1st overall pick to win a Stanley Cup.

So Yzerman is not responsible for Detroit's performance, but JB was?

Even with those two on the roster, Green often puts Lui in the top 6...

Benning had 101 points trying to be competitive his first year and Yzerman was purposely trying to rebuild through the draft his first year, it’s apples and oranges, I don’t understand the reference? |

Yzerman had just taken over a team that was up against the cap with plenty of overpaid vets that don't perform and nobody wanted. Hell the first draft was still all of Hollands scouting and drafting crew. Only later on in the off-season was Yzerman able to clean some of them out and bring in his guys (Holland quickly brought a bunch of them to Edmonton after Yzerman got rid of them). The fact the only vet UFA to be Yzerman was able to get something for at the deadline was a 4th round pick for Green says it all. Nobody wanted Ericsson, Daley or Howard even for a conditional pick.
JB has been the GM for the Nucks for years so this is his team unlike Yzerman last season. You can't compare the two GMs when one inherited a dumpster fire team full of overpaid bums and the other has had years to re-build his team the way he wants it.
