Yzerman is going to build it slow and properly. In 2-3 years we will have one of the best talent pools in the league.

The 2nd round pick is great and I like the trade for you guys, but let’s stop with the whole we can also flip him at the deadline, Staal was possibly the leagues worst defenceman last year, that’s not a player teams call about for a playoff run.

You may be completely right. Still, teams need extra bodies. At that point his adjusted salary will be less than 2 mil. Crazier things happen, but this may be the final stop for sure
