I know he shoots righty

I don't know, I'd be really surprised if they targeted Vatanen

I think getting a veteran guy who can pay left on a more budget contract for a year or two does make a ton of sense. To me that's the most disappointing thing about Skjei, even if he wasn't a top pairing left guy, he could have at least held a spot down for several seasons.

Other than Krug the only natural lefty im seeing as a UFA is Dillon and that doesn't excite me at all. I'd rather just play ADA there at that point.

something about Skjei playing here was just off after such a promising start to his career

really those 3 bachelor NYC dudes when they shared that apartment, Hayes, Vesey and Skjei, they just kind of went south after that

Dillon would make a nice partner for Trouba, he would be a significant upgrade over Smith.

well Dillon definitely will hit and add some needed size back there

he's not a bad idea if it's a 2-3 year deal, then they expose him in draft

depends the amount of suitors he gets

The Philadelphia Flyers have made Shayne Gostisbehere available for trade, per
@PierreVLeBrun
. Adds: “For all the trade rumors linked to him in the past, this is really the first time #AnytimeAnywhere have shown a serious willingness to move him if they get the right offer.”

They were part of the same D corps for awhile, no wonder why they couldn't stop anybody.

without Staal, the left side needs a guy to be the go to penalty killer back there

I think Lindgren can be that guy if he can stop bleeding a little

I think he can be too. The one downside of there being big expectations next season, is I'd love at some point to see K'Andre get a taste of the PK. I think that's where his future is in terms of special teams. I just think the club really can't afford to throw two young guys out there even on separate units because there needs to be a step forward from this club.

I'm ok with that. For next year. Other than Trouba and Smith those guys are pretty young. Lets see what they can do for another year. Granted this all depending on the contract negotiations going smooth with Tony
