the Rangers and Tampa are gonna talk, no doubt

The Penguins robbery aside, I want to talk to Toronto they seem ripe for the picking

I would think about keeping him as an extra D man, but I'm done with him on the 4th line. Not even taking Laffy into consideration, it's quite possible we need to find playing time for someone like Barron, or just a regular spot somewhere for Gaut. Our wings are just too loaded to pencil in a spot for him.

I don't disagree at all. I just think that if there is sufficient cap space, they like having the line up flexibility he allows them.

I'd put a bullet in him myself if it makes room to re-sign Quickie!!!!!

leaving us out of it, I think Marner to Ottawa makes sense for one of those picks, 3 or 5

Toronto has already given him 30 million of his 65 million deal

then Toronto has the cash for Pieterangelo

I would be interested in Paquette, he's been a real wiener to play against these playoffs

For the right price I can see it. I'd be just worried that Tampa will want significant assets for him (I mean not a totally delusional thought) and he's basically Stinky V2.

Imagine my surprise when I started making calls today and heard Jack Eichel trade rumours, including unverified chatter he may have at some point recently requested a trade out of BUF and that NYR were amongst interested teams. This, of course, required further investigation.

“I hear that (trade talk) a lot,” Eichel’s agent Peter Fish said. “Jack wants to win, he’s frustrated (not winning) but, no, he doesn’t want out. Jack is preparing to head to Buffalo at some point here and prepare for the season, whenever that may be. That’s all he controls.”

The messaging out of BUF is Sabres aren’t shopping Eichel, there’s no real desire to trade him, but since Kevyn Adams became new GM several clubs have called about Eichel’s availability. NYR believed to be one of the teams that called. So calls were made; calls were taken.

So, the face-value review appears as follows: Eichel doesn’t want out of BUF; BUF doesn’t want to trade Eichel; move along, nothing to see here. Fair enough. But some rumours are worth checking out/mentioning. Which I’ve now done. Now back to draft prep.

I just think the cost would be crazy for the Rangers....then you still have to include his huge cap with Zib due money in 2 years. Great player but just don't see a fit

hey if Henrik retires and Buffalo took Brendan Smith in the deal they could do it easily

I just don't see it without 1 or 2 of Kakko/Fox/Lafreniere going the other way

and Shesty too

if I was Buffalo, Shesty would be my #1 target if I couldn't get Kakko/Fox/Laf from the Rangers

They probably need the Skjei and Staal cap savings for performance bonuses, as has been written about, but largely ignored.

I'd rather see the Rangers trade TDA's rights and the #22 pick to STL for Dunn or to MIN for Dumba.

I kinda want to stay away from the Krug situation. Rangers have had zero luck signing offensive types of D-men the past few decades. Plus, he's going home to Detroit.

- mames11

I want absolutely no part of him
