All of Dallas’ big defensemen are always chasing. They never have the time or space to actually attack. - Chunk
That's because they can't complete a pass. Klingberg has been especially awful in this series and he has not been good in the playoffs. |

If you don t think any of the Hawks goalies are ready, just sign Anderson and Howard for a combined $3 mil. Both are used to getting shelled. |

C'mon, JC just needs one more training camp to get that system working. |

I think Bowman is trying to make a move either Maatta or deHaan for Kuemper and whatever, but i agree no need to give anything up of value |

Anyone paying anything close to that for Kuemper is out of their gotdam mind. Even a 2nd for him is an overpay. guy has played more than 30 games in a season twice. - Elbows15

Good god, LA. Howard blows and one of the 3 has to be better than him. Anderson is 107. |

Yotes are cap strapped and can't afford either Maatta or de Haan. |

Or Point but Hedman has been a beast. He has been so good he has made the likes of Bogosian, Schenn and Ruutta useful. |

Congrats to the NHL on carrying off this post season format within the 2 bubbles. I enjoyed the playoff hockey the past 2 months.
Hopefully the league and players can work through the hurdles facing them and can get the next season off to a timely start. |

After the 1st game vs Boston, Kuch really started playing well, actually getting his hands dirty, but yea Hedman was a beast these playoffs. |

Yes to the league - and to the players of 24 teams for two months of better- than-expected hockey. |

Agreed. It was a pleasure being able to watch these playoffs, very grateful. |

Its kind of irritating though to see Daley, Kempny and now Rutta being on SC teams, but good for them at the same time |

If your rebuilding, why waste an asset for a journeyman goaltender that had one good season

Well, I have to give the league and teams credit. They put together an exciting tournament. Tampa was just too much for Dallas. |

Carolina, Edmonton, Calgary all seeking an upgrade in goal. San Jose and Minnesota disenchanted with Jones and Dubnyk respectively. Even Dallas if Khudobin walks as an UFA and then they have to rely on injury prone Bishop. - boilermaker100
You're right. I kept thinking,LA and NJ have replacement young guys they like. Carolina is obvious it us just when you quick think about it, no team really sucks in goal. But each of those teams do seek upgrade. I wouldn't bet each of those teams goes hard for a new goaltender until after expansion. |

Please respect the request above, I am asking nicely, but this is the only warning, no more political posts period.
Thanks. - Makita

Maybe after Maatta, deHaan, Murphy, or Beaudin are traded, one of them will be raising the Cup next year. |

Arizona doesn't want salary back. I think they want to go young. Yes they can buy Maatta out but then they traded Kuemper for nothing. - boilermaker100
No, they do not...they want to shed some and attempt to sign Taylor Hall and not have that backfire.
I seem to be a minority in my admiration for Kuemper but to me he fills a vacancy and fills for a longer period than Crawford, and there is no grumblings if they want play one of the Rockford guys and he has past his injury issues. His injuries were what have hindered him to become a top NHl goalie. I think he still can be.
I love Crow, but look what happened those years before they had to find lardass ... Crow was unreliable and the back ups were putrid. This gives them time.
I am not trading that first rounder for him, but I think the two teams can figure something out...

Phoenix might wait before pulling the trigger. Whom else really needs a goaltender. I might give up a lesser prospect and the first if I thought Kuemper was really that good. He is a top goaltender but not among the very best. Age 30ish but I also do not think we find a good goalie from the draft or afford one later via free agency or trade. So now we get to the point, if we sign a descent but not anything special goaltender sometime in the next couple years, is this analogous to an Osgood storyline. Osgood type vs Kuemper. Which way you lean? - jhawk59
I HATE Goalie comparisons especially from different eras.
I would go nuts every time I heard a NHL analyst say Crawford and Jimmy Howard were comparable... |
