Wow...that goal Point just scored in tonight’s game 6 of the SCF broke a 0-0 tie and looked almost identical to the GWG Keith scored in game 6 of the 2015 SCF against these very Lightning(that also broke a 0-0 tie). - SimpleJack
The 2nd goal looked like Kane's goal in the same game |

Well, if Braden Schneider is there, and the best player available, he is a right hander and has more upside... |

Congrats to the NHL on carrying off this post season format within the 2 bubbles. I enjoyed the playoff hockey the past 2 months.
Hopefully the league and players can work through the hurdles facing them and can get the next season off to a timely start. - boilermaker100

Apparently some on this board thought he had some offensive ability. His collegiate career and eagerness to sign him lifted expectation. You say he didn't drive play. I do think he could have proven to score occasionally had he stuck around. But he just didn't show enough ...
Pirri is the replacement if he is willing to play in Rockford. Just as injury recall & maybe could be productive on PP if he gets the opportunity.
Our draft fortune seems tied to one or more teams drafting someone earlier than your projection, wiz..Do some top rated as in top 17 prosoects, falls to us - jhawk59
look at DraftSite...
my board already includes possible reaches for Lapierre and Schneider.
Lots have Bourque a lot higher than me. \/ and there is this continual rumble that because of his stick and feet,
Jérémie Poirier goes in the top 20 too.
and Rodion Amirov...I dont know what to think, just know with every surprise pick my board changes, so you know nothing until you see which 16 GOT selected ...and then you thin k you see where the hawks are gonna go, and they reach on Henri Jokiharju

If your rebuilding, why waste an asset for a journeyman goaltender that had one good season
If Crow doesn't sign, I am looking at Subban, Delia, Lanky and Tompkins and playing eeny meeny for two of them. Let's see what they got.
Anderson and Howard have had their time. It would be like watching Marty Turco for 50 games. I can't go through that again. |

Yotes are cap strapped and can't afford either Maatta or de Haan. - Elbows15
If we ate $2M on Maatta they could take him and or flip him. They can eat half again where we can't eat $3M. I'm not trading much for Kuemper. Crow needs to realize Cam Ward got $3M for one year with the same resume and less of a head injury history. Corey is getting +$500k at $3.5 whether he likes it or not.

To me these days Science is politics when there are non-believers...I was joking because it reminded me of school, when they told us the next person who does this, and then someone walking in late would do it and suffer the punishment. |

How about the Hawks just trade Maatta with no retention and take what you can get. Him being off the cap is more valuable than any return.
The resume for Crow and Ward are miles apart. |

Disagree their resumes are quite close. Corey has one more cup, Ward has a Conn Smythe. The rest of it is splitting hairs. The idea is Maatta is getting us the goalie and getting rid of him without giving anything else up. I'm pretty sure we can buyout the part we eat. |

The bottom line is that kuemper is not worth giving up young assets for. If the NHL comes up with emergency cap relief, then we can live with his $4.5M cap hit if say Maatta or De Haan go the other way. If Beaudin or any other young asset is part of the package, then I will lose all confidence in Stan. |

if we have to retain more then 25% of his salary to get someone to take him it makes more sense to just buy him out. at 50% trading would be a bigger cap hit the next 2 years by 1.3 mil and then cost us $650 or so in years 3 and 4.

Well with all these rumors about the NHL allowing cap relief, etc. etc., the trade market is going to be fully constipated. How can you make any decision when you don't know what your cap space is really going to be? |

I say a Ek rumor. If there is something to it, you would think McKenzie, Friedman, or Dreger would be reporting it. Remember Ek came up with the day-night double header rumor last week and I have heard nothing else about it since.
