Actually their is plenty of data. Herd immunity many doctors already believe weare close to it or have reached it in certain states i.e new yorkcity as probably having reached it already. On mandatory vaccination that's a legal question that nobody can say for certainty the cdc has alot of power and courts have seem 5o give deference to them. - Taylorst1
it isn't yet clear if infection with the COVID-19 virus makes a person immune to future infection, so the herd immunity theory may be crap

Well, which will make you feel worse? COVID or the Sikura for Pirri trade?
I just finished reading the Athletic article on Crow. Nothing earth-shattering. They don't know much more than Corey is likely going to test FA, and that teams with cap space will swoop in for the best available options. The remaining teams will be looking at the "average guys" that are left, and said goalies will be looking at cheaper contracts.
One outside the box idea was to just go full youth movement and run with two of Lankinen, Delia, and Subban. I don't think that would be the end of the world, but I don't think that's the way it will pay out either. - Chunk
If we were a goalie away from being a cup contender, I would absolutely hate the Lankinen, Delia, Subban plan. However, since we're not, I'm ok with that combo for the next year or two. At least we can see what we have in house, and a couple extra goalie losses may get us a better draft pick. |

It sounds like Franson is likely the first in line there, no? King raved about him, and he's like a "coach on the ice". - Chunk
Yes, I would consider Franson as the next Hogs captain if Tyler Sikura is not retained. Franson is the only one who makes sense, especially if McCoshen is gone.
I could see Reese Johnson being captain in 2021-22, though. Wear an A this coming season first. |

I think this move was simply a swap of minor leaguers. This was the Hawks saying to Sikura, we don't see you ahead of 4-5 other guys, so we want to give you a chance with another club. In 3 years with VGK, Pirri has played 2, 31, and 16 games with the big club. We just swapped out a younger AHLer with and older one.
I don't think this is anything to lose sleep over (not that I'm saying you are). CHI just didn't think enough of him and wanted to "do right" and give him a shot somewhere else. I would have preferred that they try to use him as a "sweetener" on another deal, but if Pirri is all we got for him, he likely isn't all that highly regarded around the league. - Chunk
Totally agree, yikes!

|
|
|
Regarding Sikura for Pirri, I would have rather seen the Hawks trade for another prospect whose path was blocked in another organization. I can only hope that Pirri can impart some kind of veteran wisdom and leadership in Rockford that has an impact on the up and coming players.

Layoffs always make a stock go up. Another fallacy is, while companies have layoffs instead of crying poor they pay some of their biggest bonuses patting themselves on the back for running the company correctly making hard decisions. |

Well if you buy into that story I've got a bridge to sell you. Also the tax code that we all follow and have equal rights in our deductions. If that's all he paid whos fault is it ? Surely your not blaming him for paying what he was legally obligated to pay ? Please use common sense here. None of us want to pay taxes but we pay what we owe nothing moree and nothing less. Maybe if you understood the tax code and owning a business you would truly appreciate not making dumb statements like the one you just did. |

The stock market is a future flexion on the growth a d investment into the economy as well as the health of our country. Remember you have pension plans, peoples 401ks those are plenty of middle class people who benefit from a healthy stock market. Money doesn't grow on tress and government doesn't create jobs it taxes all wealth period. |

People have gotten it more than once already. Granted it's unclear if it's really faulty testing or they really had it twice? One that made the news supposedly had two different strains. Either way, "normal" is a long way away butts will return to seats gradually and at what price per ticket? |

What are you basing this on? There is NO data (published) to back up this claim. I'm not arguing what "should" be done. I am stating what likely will be done.
I don't care what the purpose of racing to a vaccine is intended to do. Just because one is available, does not automatically make it 100% effective, widely and quickly distributed, and implemented across a majority of the populace. The government also cannot mandate anyone take it (unless I am mistaken in my interpretation, I'm not sure if there is a provision for pandemics), just like they can't mandate anyone takes the flu vaccine. - Chunk
Taylor is incorrect. Our exposure percentage in the USA is less than 5%. We need to get to 60-70% on COVID to hit 'herd'. It's still a long way to go without a vaccine. |

Hi Chunk! I'm kinda bummed by Lankinen. He was a BEAST in WC for Finland and I had hoped that it was a glimpse of more to come. Guy's only 25, but it doesn't seem like he's shown enough in Rockford to warrant being a clear heir to the backup role for the big club.
I don't watch the IceHogs, but does anyone who does see something I'm missing? |

Enough.
No more personnel arracks.
I guarantee you I know more about business and RE development and LLCs and S-Corps and tax codes than you do. I know exactly how people get their tax bills down to zero - jegitimately and illegally. The difference between tax avoidance (legal) and tax evasion (illegal). I have no idea which Trump used over the past 20 years - my guess, based on his public persona, a combination of both. He could easily clear this up by releasing his past tax returns.
More concerting is the debts he is personally responsible for - over $400MM coming due over the next couple of years. Who does he owe these to - foreign banks? foreign individuals? Russians?
Now, you go ignorantly crawl under your Fox News rock and quietly believe whatever you want - but don’t question my knowledge or credentials any more.
