Totally agree, Mike Gillis was not very good at a lot of the GM aspects, but the point was in reference to organizations not having a lot of turnover such as the Tampa Bay Lightning. They’ve given their top people lots of rope to fail but continue with their jobs.

I saw an interview with Mike Gillis where he stated his biggest regret was not changing the scouting organization quickly enough, that he went to Aquilini and said we need to rebuild the organization and he wanted to make changes, specifically to the scouting department, however Francesco Aquilini wanted no part of that, from what I’ve read and heard.

You are repeating Gillis excuses that no one could ever back up. Maybe they are accurate or maybe not but you should be skeptical of what Gillis says because he always choose to deflect and blame others. His sleeze bag dishonesty was well documented before he ever became GM. He showed it any time the heat was on him(after trades etc) by throwing people under the bus with stories to cover his ass. Something that was never necessary.

I remember back in 2010 there was a poster who told you guys that building around the Sedins was a huge mistake. He said it would affect their drafting and cap space for years and years. He advised also against signing Loui Eriksson and not try to extend the Twins careers.

Imagine all the high draft picks and top prospects the team could have had. Can you imagine a team without Loui Ericksson and the picks and prospects the team could have had?

Pretty much the same people now complaining about draft picks and cap space that refuse to listen to that poster

I always laughed at the group in here that couldnt imagine letting the Sedins walk but wanted a rebuild you couldnt do while having the Sedins on the roster.

They call themselves "realists".

Yes I am sure no one remembers you asking Booner about the tranny in his car.

The way you discriminate against the old says a lot about your character as RC would say.

No go wash the sand from your lady parts and go back to your audience in the other blog who actually give a flying rats ass about what you think.

.@FriedgeHNIC: I do think Canucks have had a Oliver Ekman-Larsson conversation, I don’t know if its possible but I do think they talked to Arizona, it might just be a thing you call to ask and find out.

If Trump loses, there's going to be a sh1tshow down south.

I guess the "Proud Boys" are his version of the Gestapo.

Not to rehash yesterday's discussion, but, I wanted them to start rebuilding after the collapse in the playoffs of 2012.
It was obvious, to me anyways, that many of the players were starting to decline and the compete level was no longer there.
When Gillis signed the twins to a 4 year extension in November of 2013, I knew then that this team would not be relevant for at least another 6 years, as Gillis stated they wanted to build around the twins.

Dragonfly nymphs are a great fly pattern. The trout slam them hard because the can jet away in the blink of an eye by shooting water out their anus propelling them several feet away.

“The Lightning are not satisfied with one win — they want to maintain themselves for a shot at more. Expect Brisebois to think unconventionally. I think teams will ask if Sergachev wants a bigger role. He’s on the left side with Hedman and McDonagh.”

We need RHD, not LHD.

You'd have Hughes, Rathbone, Edler, and then Sergachev all on the left, with Myers on the right.

I would say that they'll get rid of McDonagh long before Serg, but that contract he's on
