I could see both walking. Marky gets offered a fat contract we cant match. I think he really wants to stay but also knows this may be his only big payday. I think it’s soemwhat similar for toffi, with less allegiance to the club. They both aren’t getting any younger and haven’t made that much money.

My prediction: Tanev signs. Canucks sign one of the many UFA goalies cheaper than marky because he gets priced out by calgary or buffalo. Toffi goes to whoever he wants really, colorado makes a lot of sense.

Tanev wants to be here and is willing to leave money on the table. He’s also made considerably more money than those two, so he wants to get paid but isn’t going for it imo like the other two are. All three are 30, but only one of them has made decent bank.

Maybe OEL is the wrong target, i wouldnt hate it but he’s not cheap. But we beed a d upgrade, and not these one dimensional offensive dmen like risto and barrie that have been floating around. I wonder if buff could be had for cheap?

imo if youre getting oel youre filling the role edler has been playing. the last 2 years of the contract probably would suck but canucks window to win is open for the next 4-5 where hed still be a top pair guy. if they can make the money work id go for it

Can’t see why he wouldn’t. Marky has never/may never get paid. He’s gitta at least look. Same with toffi. Them i could see easily go elsewhere. Buffalo may overpay both, for example. Tanev is a career Canuck. Book it.
