(frank) I hated that LA team. Still do.

Truly a historic run, they lost four games the entire playoffs

It’s funny all the winning and high scoring teams were deplorable to watch under Gillis and the Sedins, so it seems, for Vantel, but the high scoring defensively deficient teams under Benning are so great to watch....seems to be something fishy with his stories
- Pacificgem

i wonder what some of these posters would have thought if they were told that management would not commit to a rebuild and barely get into the playoffs after 6 years.

even if those same posters were told, "hey, they have a good young core after 6 seasons of ineptitude," i wonder what they would say.

would they say, "sounds great!" or would they say, "after 6 fcking seasons of high draft picks, no sh!t you should have a good young core. now let's get back to why they didn't realize they needed to rebuild!"

now imagine what those posters would say that after a half decade of non-playoff teams, they finally made the playoffs but are cap strapped and have to make moves to help out the cap.

just childish, even you can do better, can’t you? If you hate the Canucks history so much why do you cheer for them? You didn’t grow up a Canucks fan like most of us did, they’re what, your 4th favourite team depending on where you’ve moved?

It was the 2013 playoffs that were the indicator, not 2012. When Los Angeles rolled over the best team in the regular season they did so because of the hottest goaltending on the planet (who won the Conn Smythe that year) and they also dispatched every team in record fashion. They almost didn’t lose a game the entire playoffs, a historic run.

Quite the run team that made the playoffs on the very last game of the regular season. Just proves two different seasons in one hockey year..

it's kinda better than losing in the second round. but then again, this is the 5th team you've been rooting for so maybe you'll find more success with the next one.

Having multiple accounts isn’t childish. I remembered the password to my original account, which I now use, and the other is used to talk with another team I like without being an outsider.

Ok...enough of this, apparently the Sens 5th overall pick is available, I wonder if Demko is enough?

So your senility comes and goes is what your saying? Go to London Drugs ask the girl at the counter for a Post It Notepad . Write your account name and password on the paper and stick it to the side of the computer. It is much quicker than making a new account.

I get the blending in account for one of your many favorite teams

Flyers have Ghost available, a former 60 point puck moving dman.

“Fletcher said Ghost didn't feel right physically for much of the season and was skating much better after surgeries and had a "pop" back in his game. "There aren't many 27-year-old D men in the league that have had 60-point seasons," Fletcher said. #Flyers”

I’m usually excited about the draft but we don’t have a pick until the 3rd round, Benning has a week to change that, but I’m not overly hopeful. Still, it’ll be interesting to see where the kids end up and what deals are made.

so you're telling me that the gm that is making ghost available is saying that he's much better now after multiple surgeries.

sure... sounds about right. i'm on my way to pick up this used car. the salesman says that it's had a few accidents but it runs better than new now after being in the shop multiple times. you can't find many cars with such low km's for sale.

i would inquire on cost but i don't see the flyers giving any discount. i think there should be lots of players available if the deal is right so ghost wouldn't be near the top of my shopping list.

cap flexibility in this type of environment would be very nice. there should be some bargains to be had if you can be "cap adaptive."

Using the riot as a fallback argument is extremely weak, that's something I've only ever seen from casual non-Canuck fans
