Add something about COVID deaths from their Stanley Cup parade.
COVID is very hot right now.
And a Donald Trump reference. Will they go to the White House in the next 30 days? - Atomic Wedgie
I doubt the Bettman wants to walk into that press bomb after successfully getting this tournament over. |

Sounds about right.
While trading away a breaking down Steven Stamkos to the Devils for Jack Hughes and a first round pick.

Nylander + Liljegren + 15th overall to Wpg por Laine.
Laine is a different kind of floater, and is a likeable guy.
He'd become a fan's favorite soon in Toronto - MaximusAurelius
but Laine will not sign for 7 mil cap hit over the next 4 yrs so need to keep that Willy you dislike so much. |

Don't think the 15% tax rate on bonuses is entirely accurate - may be a little more complicated than that. Here is a list of some of the big salaries in the NHL in 2018-19 how much their salary was (including bonuses) and how much tax they paid.

I just realized tampa and dallas are two teams both from "warmer climates". I hope that does well for the NHL in those types of states. - Aaron_85

This isn't exactly an accurate depiction.
All they are doing is applying "effective tax rates".
As we have seen with President Trump, the effective tax rate is only relevant if you do your taxes with Turbo Tax. |

Both teams are in states where the NHL players pay 0% State taxes.

That's true! And the best tax acountant / tax lawyer will always find a way to lower your taxes - the big issue is does it pass the smell test and are you going to hear those awful words "your taxes are being re-assessed"

So back to reality ...
Where are all the buyouts?
To AP or not to AP?
If no AP who's the best of the rest on the free agent market? Brodie, Vatanen, Hamonic?
Who's some good bottom 6 fwd possibilities? Maroon is everybody's perfect 4th liner but is Brassard a gritty 3C option? Cody Eakin? - The Law
AP or don’t bother playing next year. |

I don't think Kerfoot is a top 6 forward.. I think Domi is a 2nd line guy. - PatC80
Let's put it this way: I don't think Domi is a 2nd line guy on a Cup contender. |

Too bad Telez is not playing in this series - he's been very good. Kirk batting 8th shows what a good hitting lineup it is. Go Jays.

Rowdy Tellez advanced more quickly than Blue Jays expected. He’s a candidate to pinch hit or DH. Ross Atkins even mentioned 1B as a possibility. |

Meh.
There are better options as #2 centre. I think he's an ok 2nd line centre but he also needs responsible wingers to play with him.
But he proved he can catch fire for a season, maybe he brings it back, who knows?

I think Max definitely has more value than Kerfoot -- but not by a whole lot.
Domi will definitely be looking for a raise... but I wouldn't give him one. |
