If Dubas did that, a lot of people would like him again.. Ekblad would be a good addition to this team..
Maybe Nylander, Dermott and #15 for Ekblad and #12

1 goalie in 20 years.

here is since 2000 goalies taken in the top 12'ish
Price ..rest not so much...also MAF, there is like 15 players id take ahead of him from 2003

1 NY Islanders Rick DiPietro
9 Calgary Brent Krahn
8 Columbus Pascal Leclaire
10 NY Rangers Dan Blackburn
2 Atlanta Kari Lehtonen
1 Pittsburgh Marc-Andre Fleury
6 NY Rangers Al Montoya
5 Montreal Carey Price
11 Los Angeles Jonathan Bernier
11 Dallas Jack Campbell

- senstroll

Why aren't you including our new starting goalie Campbell elite?

I'd definitely take Askarov in the Top 12.

If Campbell is our starting goalie next year it better because we traded Andersen for a really (frank)ing good player

It's also important to look at who was the highest ranked goalie and not just where people were picked. The appetite to take goalies very early was really hit hard after a lot of injuries/busts ruined the trend. Guys like Hart, Gibson, Markstrom, Vasilevski etc to name a few scattered around the first/second round were their respective "top goalie prospects" going into their draft years...then you also get a Mark Visentin etc.

Why not? He looked fine on ARZ and with a vastly improved D (assuming Petro signing), he'd likely do fine here too.
