Yeah, but there really isn't much a chance that another student grabs up that major first and therefore you cant major in it any more.

Exactly. LOL. Same as his absurd coin flip analogy. As if it is a binary choice instead of choosing among hundreds of players.

Well, you have to agree first that an alternative possibility exists, instead of just asserting that it is "mostly luck."

Then you have to look at what the evidence favors.

But if you just say it is luck, then that is impossible to disprove, because the probability of anything in life being luck will never be zero.

The evidence overwhelmingly favors that it is luck.

Patrick Laine. 22 years old, 6’5”, 30 to 40 goal scoring lock. I would give up anyone not named Carter Hart, Ivan Provorov and Sean Couturier for him. If the Jets want Konecny somewhere in that deal, bye-bye Konecny.

I dunno seems risky for many reasons. I really dont like his game. He gets 30-40 goals a season however they all come in large bunches and then there is a lot of 0s in between. His defensive play is also not very good. His defensive lapses are worse than Voracek and JVR. Then theres the $$. He is going to get a big raise and I just dont see us having that kind of room. Not without moving JVR or Voracek

But he is 22 so there is room for him to grow into a more complete player. Im not sure they want Konecny. Rumour is they want top 4 D or #2 C. I think if they would accept Ghost, Frost would likely need to be involved too.

Hard pass on Laine. Not giving up the assets to acquire or devoting the cap assets necessary for him. Would have to be a top 6 two centerman or quality defenseman to give up what it would take. If it's a winger, it would have to be a much better player than Laine.

great shot, big body, his foot speed concerns me long term, especially at the cost and the contract he is going to want.

I started reading this and fell asleep. If there is nothing in between 40 plus goals, than you probably want him to score 82 goals a season. The only thing that matters is the end result. 40 goal scorer.

Konecny and Laine are actually producing at the same rate the past two season. Laine with the age by one or two points. Laine being one year younger.

Finally, for once in his life, Watson looks like he's in prime form.

How about looking into Erik Cernak from Tampa, he is a RFA. Will he be a priority for them ? He is solid in his own end and plays a physical game which we could use on the back end not to mention up front
