Hank was all in on this decision. He gets paid whatever he chooses to do...or go, for that matter. I see Colorado or Boston as landing spots if he chooses to play next season. A one-year $2M deal is doable for either team. - mames11
If Hank wants to win a Cup he could sign for cheap with Tampa to back up Vasilevskiy. |

They could definitely repeat. They didn't even have Stamkos and they were a steamroller at times. |

Yeah Tampa will still be lethal. Even after they trade Johnson, Killorn and Coburn. |

I saw on twitter that his agent was asked if he's going to play somewhere else, and he said it hasn't been decided yet. Man that would suck if they buy him out and then he retires. |

I'm over that, at least we have 23 million in space
and then we don't have the hysteria of seeing him in another uniform |

It is kind of funny, Kreider was the only one to survive the era - TPC
I said the same thing to my son last night.
I do think the Staal move means Fast gets resigned. He overlaps with that era but your point stands. |

I agree...It's not a big deal at this point. Granted, I'd love an extra $5M in cap, but Rangers aren't spending it anyways if they did have it.
This may have been an inside agreement, for all we know, between Hank and Dolan. |

I think they are gonna make a move that will blow our hair back
the negative attention Henrik's buyout is getting is going to be diverted |

Might be. Why else buy him out now, unless it's to complete another deal? I suppose they didn't want to let it drag out any longer than necessary. Also, didn't want to give Georgiev the wrong idea about re-signing him, and get that contract done. |

nah, I dont think so, that would shock me
what's crazy about Stamkos, he only makes a base salary of 1 mil this year, already got his 8.5 mil signing bonus
I dont think he wants to be traded, he loves Tampa, he's got a sweet house on the water

there was a rumour that Georgiev was close to a 3 year 10 mil extension
no validity to it though and that seems high |

they could still trade Georgiev, sign someone like Greiss to a 2 year deal so they can expose him to expansion draft and start clearing the way for the best of Wall, Huska and Lindbom to emerge |

We have a few potentially good goaltenders coming up, I really think Georgiev ultimately is going to be in the way.

the problem still goes back to the question of Georgiev's trade value
does he have enough trade value to make a trade worth it |
