the problem still goes back to the question of Georgiev's trade value
does he have enough trade value to make a trade worth it - jimbro83
Unfortunately, in a flooded goalie market, I don't the return is going to be good enough.. |

THIS! We have a few potentially good goaltenders coming up, I really think Georgiev ultimately is going to be in the way. - vroppelt
Yeah, but he is a back up. Unless anyone thinks he is going to challenge Shesterkin? I certainly don't. Georgie is good, for sure, but he is going to play about 25 games. He should only be making $2-2.5 per year. How in the way can he get? If one of the kids looks that good, move him or buy him out. |

Hank bought out. - Fenrir
Says it all. My wife and I sat down our son last night to break the news to him. My son's name is Henrik and he worships the King. He was sad but we had prepared him for this, previously. Best line was, "I still love the Rangers but screw the guy that got rid of him". Better watch your ash Gorton! |

If we could have gotten a decent return for Georgiev, think Hank might have been the backup next season to finish out, Wall/Huska/Lindqvist to follow the season after.

Going to be some dissapointment at the dinner table tonight in my house (after hockey practice!) |

Good luck with that. Have some ice cream on hand. lol
Mine wears #30 too. Played some goalie and was pretty darn good but Mom nixed that. She couldn't handle the pressure! |

I think they are gonna make a move that will blow our hair back
the negative attention Henrik's buyout is getting is going to be diverted - jimbro83
Hey, I saw Marcel Dionne earlier this year. He still looks good. Maybe he can still play?
I want to have faith in JD but I think this is all to just sign the guys they have. Strome, ADA, Giorgiev, Fast, & Lemieux are going to total almost $18 million. |

My son is 15. He understands the nature of why this happened, but he said he will find it odd to go into the first season of his entire life with no Hank in net. |
