Canucks were two wins from top 10

I agreed with you saying yes they have spent to the cap other years.

I’m of the opinion Markstrom won the Canucks six games by himself, which would put them in a pack with Buffalo, so I’m not convinced we’re that much better off than them should we not get All-Star goaltending.

Buffalo has Eichel, Reinhart, Olofsson and Dahlin, some great young players to build around. Just need some competent management.

It might be complete BS but I heard rumblings that Marky’s injury during the playoffs had more to do with his head than body and that’s one of the reasons why his contract extension is not a slam dunk.

I’m more than happy giving Demko his shot even if it doesn’t result in playoff success. I’m much more patient with youth than I am with vets.

Interesting take I hadn't heard that. Markstrom has put in the work and his numbers show top 10 in the league but obviously there are concerns. I highly doubt he goes for the hometown discount but one never knows.

I heard Jack Eichel won them 10 games so they would have dropped also

Two wins from top 10. Still losers, only one team wins the cup.

I am pretty sure I seen Marky having problems with his legs and movement in his last game in the third period in the playoffs

Nick Cotsonika

Yzerman said he has told Jimmy Howard the Red Wings will not offer him a contract before free agency. The Red Wings will look for a goalie in the free agent market.

Silly question.....How come the Canucks can't sign a low cap hit deal, but have endorsements set up to make up the difference?

GM Jim: Jake....we can only pay you 1 million.....

Jake:

GM Jim: But we got you an endorsement deal with Krispy Creme
