Trading for OEL also lets Edler walk next year.
- VANTEL

I would love to hear the years of whining but man is OEL really what we need?

Edler had more points in 7 less games.

But maybe OEL is what Hughes needs on the PP?

I'm beginning to think MTA stands for Metro transit authority.

In other words, ride the bus.

I haven't followed OEL much, but by this assessment, we should just sign Tyson Barrie.

OEL is better than Barrie. He was on a team less offensively gifted than the Canucks, and always gave them their best chances of winning. OEL is far better than Edler.

Not sure neither are the answer. If you wanna spend go after Krug lol

But now that Hughes is obviously Norris-trophy caliber you just gotta build around that properly.

Arizona needs to take at least LE & Beagle to make this work long-term.
- pker2theend

Or LE and Benn.

Not sure there needs to be a huge premium paid by the Canucks for taking on this contract. In two years the actual annual salary paid to OEL goes up by $2.5MM each year while Ericksson's is quite the opposite. This would be a huge long term cash savings for the Coyotes' owners.

i know oel is on the downslope of his career but i think his offensive numbers will jump if he joined the nucks. the yotes havent had a player score 50 points since 17-18

You would get more of a meltdown with Barrie

I'd say OEL hits 50-60 points in several years with us. he is also really good defensively.

If that's true, we should be going after OEL hard. He also isn't buy out proof from what I've heard.

There's a reason most people who play a lot go in and edit their roster ratings after the fact.

Looks like Petey made a top 10 list as well

Dreger: “Bill Armstrong the GM of ARI is actively working with both BOS and VAN to get something done. There’s a bit if pressure from the player perspective. [Armstrong’s] either going to have to retain some of the money... or take some contracts back.

Probably High on all the shot metrics, as that's his best skill in RL.

I would imagine any deal fro OEL would involve Boeser. It's possible JV and Stech, but more likely to be high end talent swap imo. I'm a pretty big fan of OEL, he's an all-around guy that can play the big minutes and improve our special teams a lot. As it stands, Edler and Tanev are the only guys that can really PK. It would be an upgrade but certainly change things and shorten our window a bit perhaps. If anything, the off-year OEL had should bring his value down a bit, the guy has not lost a step at all if you watched that series even a bit he was clearly one of the better guys on the ice.

If the only trade options are Van or Bos I doubt we need boeser.

I hear Barrie's name being still mentioned too.
