I think, based on listening to the GM and chief amateur scout for Ottawa, that they're leaning towards Raymond.......and if he's taken by Detroit, I think their "plan b" is Jack Quinn. |

The sens reportedly have interviewed raymond more than any other team.
Whether this means anything, we shall see. |

Any low ceiling defensive defensemen available at 8? That's my bet |

So we know the current Sabres' playoff drought is bad, but would we trade this for what the Minnesota Twins are in the middle of, 18 straight playoff losses?
EDIT: Flacco, I already know your answer. |

The Sens should be interviewing everyone between 2-15 several times. Most teams should. |

I still say it's the worst deal. They had an option they could pick up and didn't.

Hasik, then?
Don't care. Maybe they should've worked out an extension. Don't remember. |

Thx...don't know what Sens fans think, but Quinn at 5 seems like a big reach |

Exactly. If it does unfold that way, I think the Ducks would be happy to take Drysdale |

he's probably the best pure goal scorer in the draft (maybe an argument can be made for Holtz). Only 3 OHL players have ever had more goals in their draft year than him....I think it was Tavares, Lindros, and Kane. that's pretty good company.
I think there isn't a very clear BPA between pick 4-10, and after getting byfield/stutzle at 3, Ottawa's next biggest need is a goal scoring RW. it's a bit of a reach, but i'd prefer that reach over taking a player at a positon where they're already deep with really good prospects (like D, center, goalie) |

My complete "Realistic" Plan.
Sign Bobby Ryan to a 1 year Deal 2 mil
Sign Lundqvist to a 1 year deal 3-4.5 mil
Trade Hutton for a middling pick.
Trade 8 and a prospect for Monahan and 19
VO - Eichel - Reinhart
Skinner - Monahan - Ryan
Mitts-Staal-Cozens
Okposo-Lazar-Thompson

if he's "their guy" then I think they'll take him. there seems to be so much volatility in the top 15 (after you get past 3) that if they did trade back there's no guarantee he's there |

Completely forgot he played in the OHL for a year.. went back and looked at his stats. 72G, 104A for 176 points in 74 games... that’s impressive. |
