He very well may be a late bloomer.

However he essentially missed last years draft by a haircut and his stats last year suggested he might not have been drafted at all in 2019.

Rossi was in the same boat but had a good year last year that suggested he still would have went in the first round.

Not all players develop at the same rate though so it’s completely possible Quinn ends up being a stud. I just wouldn’t pick Quinn over the likes of Raymond, Perfetti, Rossi, Holtz personally.

Agreed he just started working out and developing his body it will take 3-4 years for him to be ready ..

if it was me making the picks, I agree.....that being said, from what I've read, the Sens really like Quinn so i'm trying to "make peace" with the idea of having him here.

Some team invariably outsmarts themselves and ends up reaching. I just hope Buffalo isn't the one.

21% shooting percentage. A lot of time and space for him. One thing I'm not sure of is his release and whether he can get his shot off in a very tight NHL.
- Michael Pachla

His ev p1/gp for draft year comps is on par with Vilardi and N Suzuki.

Hasek was making it difficult if I remember correctly?

He wanted to only go to certain teams (not sure if he had a Ntc?) Teams that had a chance to win the cup.

Tough market for a starting goalie, most of the good teams already had their guy, who got them there.

Didnt hasek go as far as to not want to be traded for certain players on the wings?

Tough trade, but it was a tough spot.

* power was right, should have extended, too late once he was going to be a ufa

- Boss34

Pretty sure the original parameters of the deal was Hasek for Federov. Hasek publicly stated he would retire if the team trading for him moved players that would hinder them winning a cup. Hence the deal that eventually went down.

And I'm not sure if Rossi made him successful or both are just that good

Doesn’t account for the fact that he was essentially an overage player this year on a
67’s team that was a Memorial Cup favourite.

I mean I’m not an NHL scout so at the end of the day what do I know but from what I’ve seen he can definitely be an NHL player I just think the ceiling of a Raymond or Perfetti is higher.

Oh absolutely. I wouldn’t touch Quinn until 12-15 range. Using the same metric of ev p1/gp Perfetti was better than A Svechnikov.

We're going to call that the "Jank" lineup.

Jack sees them tank, again. Bye bye, Jack.

I'm hearing that by next Sunday following the draft and the start of free agency, we'll have a better idea of what the Sabres plan is this season
