I don't think it's the cap as much as the internal celery...Eichel only counts as 2.5M towards the celery. That's my thinking or am I wrong?

As far as signing a bargain basement UFA for 2RW I'm against it bc everyone the Sabres have signed has been a bust. We need a 2nd line RW, Toffoli and Hoffman have proved they can score as they did it on different teams, Dadonov and Smith have only did it on their original teams. I say go after either Toffoli or Hoffman.
Putting Cozens as 2RW still puts him up against top 2 line players of the other team, let him ease into the NHL on the 3rd line between Kahun and Thompson.
I like signing Clifford for the 4th line to add some grit.
