How is Calgary driving up the price for Markstrom when they are legally not allowed any contact with Markstrom?

I don’t think he’s suggesting that Calgary is negotiating directly. Assumption here is that Flames leak it indirectly that they are very interested in Markstrom and are prepared to overpay. Markstroms agent uses this as a negotiation tactic to get more for his client suggesting that Canucks could lose their starter and to a divisional rival at that if they don’t pay up. In summary Flames either get their rivals starter who is a clear upgrade over what they presently have or they drive up the cost for Van to resign him thus forcing a rival to commit more cap dollars that they want to. So a Win- Win for Flames and a Win/Lose for the Canucks.

The gold looks fine, but I hope they decide to go with grey gloves or something. Plus I feel like they could have used a slim red band along the bottom like they have on the arms between the gold and white. I guess we'll have to see a full uniform mock up, for right now it kind of looks like the colors are just clashing and the white feels really out of place.

The Flames need to make Markstrom a priority. Every year the Flames are looking for a goalie, it would be nice to not have to worry about that for the next five years.
