The flyers have been re building for like 12 years! Why would they want lane?
- Bobd62

Exactly....8 million a year for a total floater that disappears in the playoffs and cries like a baby about ice time and linemates...you’d have to be really dumb to want him on your team.

Laine?
I don’t think 16 points in 24 playoff games is ghosting. And in those playoff games has had a different C each time. Little, Stastny, Hayes, Copp, Eakin......if he’s “female doging” it’s not publicly and could be bored reporters....but if he’s saying I’m pumping in 35-45 without a consistent C he’s entitled to wonder about his role etc.

They’d hVe to be blown away I believe to part with him, at least with RFA years left

CLB, CAR and LA are three teams that have some of not all of the components.

As a Jet fan I’m aware that reading 22 year old 35-45 goal scorers probably won’t end well.

Hoping they hold out for a ransom otherwise sign him

But if you get good players in return...how long before they want out?

Millionaire hockey players don’t want to play in winnipeg...facts are facts.

I heard Montreal has a guy in their front office who just watches what the Bruins are doing. And when the Bruins get involved, he tells the Habs to push harder. It's a pretty easy job.

No. WPG will want one of Suzuki or KK. And thats a hard no. Only deal we would trade KK is for NYR 1st 2020. And that too wont happen.

If WPG wants KK, they can take KK and and 2nd for Laine, nothing more, and that's conditional on Laine signing long term.

Winnipeg is a great city, the Canadian cities are cold for sure, and Wpg the coldest....but when you put other metrics on the table it’s a great place to live. Always find it interesting how many Canadian players come back to Canada in the offseason. Must be a reason

22 and he's already won the Conn Smythe and a Stanley Cup. He and Patrick are the future of this loaded Flyers team.

so the Bruins are involved in trade talks with Arizona for Ekman-Larsson and now with the Jets for Laine.
They would have to give up a sh*t load of players, prospects and picks to get these 2 players, i am not sure they can do it, one of these i can see but no way they will get both.

Jets need a C and top 2 D-man , not going to get both from a Laine trade.
If you don’t have a number 2 C or a 1 or 2 Dman then you’re not going to land Laine.

Kings are loaded with prospects, 2nd overall pick and LA is a team that would like the “star” quality of Laine. Could be a fit there

- jjonah

The Kings can't help the Jets now at C unless the Jets want Kopitar and the Jets won't take Kopitar in a trade with the Kings even if Kopitar waived his M-NTC. So it would have to be Vilardi who had 10 games last year but that's a small sample size and he has an injury history. Can the Jets wait for Turcotte? I doubt the Jets want to do that with Scheifele entering his prime.

So the Habs are getting more involved for Laine, even though the rumour chart just went from 20% to 15%. Strange. As a Habs fan I'm confused.

Don’t disagree with Kings but sometimes the wealth of prospects has teams knocking on the door.
Also don’t discount WPG’s knowledge of where they are for attracting free agents and having the flexibility some other teams have.
Younger for the Jets (Turcotte) would have to be listened to for sure

you can't trade Carlo if Krug is gonna walk.. and Carlo could play for 10+ years for the Bs. Doesn't seem like a good idea
