Don’t disagree with Kings but sometimes the wealth of prospects has teams knocking on the door.
Also don’t discount WPG’s knowledge of where they are for attracting free agents and having the flexibility some other teams have.
Younger for the Jets (Turcotte) would have to be listened to for sure

I just think that, when it comes to a deal for Laine, the Jets would want someone more developed in return for him to play the 2C. The Kings don't have that. I think Vilardi will be a solid 2C, but I don't have a lot of NHL game support for that assertion.

No. WPG will want one of Suzuki or KK. And thats a hard no. Only deal we would trade KK is for NYR 1st 2020. And that too wont happen.

If we trade KK, Domi is our 2C. Do you really think anyone would take an average top 6C over Ovechkin over the last decade? KK's ceiling is probably somewhere around David Krecji, good but nothing special. You don't refuse to give that up for potentially the best goal scorer in the league

If you have to try this hard to convince yourself, it's bad. The Habs 4th best center, their 6th best D, a mid round 1st, and a potentially middle six prospect.

KK would LOVE to be a Krejci. One of the best playoff center’s in the game. His only downfall is not having a consistent scorer on his line. I’m pretty sure I read that KK idol growing up was Krejci.

That said, I agree that the Bs don’t have much to offer Winnipeg for Laine. Carlo and Debrusk is probably fair, but then the Bs D takes a hit. Maybe Lauzon can be 2nd pair D on his off wing, but the Bs have a pretty weak farm system right bow. Pretty hard when you just got out of cap he’ll that cost you some #1s and you keep making playoff runs.
