Fridge says the Leafs could be looking at 2 RHD?
Gudas and Vatanen/Tanev
Rielly-Tanev
Muzzin-Holl
Sandin-Gudas
Lehtonen
Wonder if he is looking to add a forward too
is an AJ/Anderson swap still possible? - Santo_44
I wouldn’t bring in Gudas and sit Lehtonen. |

Wasn’t able to reply to your Derek Trucks post but he was here with wife and her band as part of Willie Nelson festival thingee. Was very excited to see them and they didn’t disappoint. Learned from the best and then really developed such a unique sound after that. Had wanted to see Lukas but he bailed for some Star is Born event. Willie’s set was interesting. With his normal family band - sister on piano and son on drums, was like they were sitting around in the den. Very casual and very loose with Willie coming in late or early all the time. They tightened it up as they went along but, it’s (frank)ing Willie Nelson so who cares. He is such a beautiful guitar player. - Canada Cup
I missed that show, but I did get to see Trucks play a show at Dundas Square (when there were shows there) Slide guitar was amazing. I remember his wife Susan Tedeschi joined the band for the encore and they played the Weight.

roomerzz are that Stastny and MAF (some cash retained) would be on their way to Minnesota to make room.
Just need SJ and Wilson to do the unthinkable and take Dubnyk and Donato off Minny's hands.
Fleury and Guerin are buddies. - The Law
Be great if teams would stop helping others out for literally no reason. |

We should keep him! He's big, fast, and obviously has offensive upside |

Guerin has made it clear he is trying to make the team younger. No way he's bringing in $13.5 million in cap hit for two older players to a team that has virtually no young talent on it.

Agree, exactly the kind of player leafs need moving forword. Will be a good 3rd Line RW - 6'4" can hit and can score. Get rid of a couple of flyweights like Malgin and Bracco |

They could involve a 3rd team to retain cap
They traded for Lehner for a cheap price and now have him signed, now the cost to get rid of Fleury will cost them but in their eyes is worth it. - Santo_44
I just don't see it happening. They'd have to give away a first + |

Buying out Fleury or eating a big chunk of his salary might be the way they go.

They have one of the better goalies in the NHL signed for 5M for 5 seasons...Half the price of Price and a Vasalevsky...Theyve already won despite of whatever it costs to get rid of Fleury. |

Why do you doubt it? Stastny plus MAF = $13.5 Million in Cap hit. Stastny ($6.5 Million) scored 38 points, Leafs gave up a first to get rid of one year of $6.25 Million of Marleau who scored 37 points the previous season. MAF has 2 years left.

Yeah, I'd rather keep him. Toss useless guys like Malgin to the trash heap and give Korshkov a look-see. |

I think he's trying to do his best to make Minnesota the worst team in the league for a bit so that they'll have the best odds in the 2022 draft. |

That strategy worked so well for Buffalo and McDavid or Detroit and Lafreniere didn't it?

Pretty tough climate for that, the Leafs had to pay a heavy price to get rid of Marleau when the cash was free flowing.
Be interesting to see how that goes... |

True, but Buffalo has a city wide history of losing and failing.
Detroit was just incredibly awful, though. They didn't go out of their way to trade everyone with a pulse, like Buffalo did. |
