Yes but not good enough to give up a high lottery pick for. If we were talking about Zach Werenski or Cale Makar then yes i would for those guys. Those guys would be worth the lottery pick. I'm not opposed to giving up a top 5 pick for the right player. If i was GM of the Wings and Tampa called me right now and offered Brayden Point for the 4th overall, i would say yes right away.

I'm not a fancy stats guy but i assume Sergachev gets favorable matchups and zone starts with Tampa since he is not their best left side defenseman. Makar probably got that too but he was a rookie. Pretty sure Werenski was getting the toughest matchups along with Jones in Columbus.

6x7m for Sergachev and next years draft is weaker anyways.

5 x$6.5M and you only give up a 1st and a 2nd........and that is enough to cause concern with Tampa, and get them scurrying.
