You and I always agreed on that. I'd still sign Ovie at 40.

Hey guys. I finally get to change this avatar today.

I think it's gonna be a nice gif of our top players.

I always imagined Ovechkin coming to NY, not the other way around.

Honestly, anywhere Hank signs is going to be weird. I just keep telling myself that he’s washed and whoever signs him is going regret it. So if he does sign in division, that helps us out.

At least what I keep telling myself to soften the blow.

I want him to (frank)ing tear it up. I don't give a (frank) what happens to the Rangers in that scenario. If he somehow bounced the Rangers in the playoffs I wouldn't even care.

I have no idea what to envision for his first game in MSG as a visitor. Any of it. Fan reaction, game result,...

I don't think you'll have to imagine fan reaction, there might not be any.

Mavrik Bourque.

Yea I want him too. They say Lapierre has concussion issues, but he’s another pick in that area they could take

You out of your mind. My god. It’s time to move on, Jesus Christ. I’m serious, I moved on from Hank before last season even started. So glad he’s gone

Wanting/expecting him to suck is just as ridiculous. Show some respect for arguably the best to wear the jersey.

Will I be surprised if he has a bad year? Not really. Same goes for if he has a good one on a decent team.

Moving on from him while he's still on the team means you're a poop fan.

Gimme a break dude. I’ve defended him forever. I can move on from players. This is not about his past, he was remarkable for years here, but it was also extremely bitter for me the last few years they were good

I’m the most loyal fan I’ve ever met don’t lump me with Vin

did you think there was a chance Lundqvist wasn't going to sign with a Northeast team?

Not really, the only team I think he might/may have considered was Colorado.

When can he actually sign? I think his landing spot is one of the more interesting things outside of the draft.

He'll get his montage and some punk will boo, but most people will give him the respect he's earned. Hank lets in a soft one in after less than two minutes. He plays well for most of the game until the third period where he lets in three more goals. Rangers win, Hank says in his interview how he has to be better. Also mentions that he misses MSG/NYC.

Don't even have to watch the game

friday, and it's pretty set in stone it's Washington, if Bob McKenzie is saying it then I'd pretty much go with it

I'm just saying there are very few players that I was rooting for to leave town. The only life long Ranger that I was starting to feel that way about was Staal. Stall won't have his jersey raised to the rafters. But I still wanted him to do well while he was here.

Oh, I missed the spot where it was McKenzie reporting it. Well, very interesting for sure. Not totally sold on Washington being his best chance at a cup. Maybe Ovi gave him a call?

Lundqvist couldn't stop Panarin 5 years ago

I am not really afraid of Lundqvist finding the fountain of youth in D.C.

You really expect the Rangers NOT to get shutout by a returning player?

Don't get me wrong, I by no means am rooting for Hank to be bad. He's quite literally my favorite athlete of all time. The reality at this point in his career, though, is that he does suck. He's simply not good anymore. Hence why I couldn't care less where he goes.

Although bought-out ex-NYR goalie Henrik Lundqvist is currently UFA, he cannot formalize an agreement until Friday. That said, the word on the street is that WSH is the clear frontrunner for the King’s services on what would presumably be a short-term, bargain contract.

That would make sense both ways. WSH would get capable vet on affordable deal to platoon/push burgeoning No. 1 Ilya Samsonov, who’s only 23. Lundqvist would get good chance to play decent number of games on a team with a chance to contend. And in the Metro Division, no less. Winking face
