No doubt and now that he is a Ranger I will root like hell for him.

Besides Anderson and Olaf I have no problems with any of Gorton's picks.

I think they're gonna take a goalie in the 4th or 5th round and another with one of their 7ths. Heck, that 3rd rounder is basically a 4th so get the can opener ready.

Seriously, if we draft a goalie in any of the first 3 rounds for the next 3 years, our scouting staff should be thrown in a wood chipper

Andersson I was ok with, so I guess no one should give my opinions a 2nd (frank)ing thought

Don't worry, Barron is going to be good. Future is bright.

So disappointed with that pick after being stoked about how he hated to lose.
Turns out he's just another spoiled kid.

I'm optimistic about Morgan Barron from what I have heard, but I'm not sure it's nearly enough.

It's a deep draft so they'll come away with a couple center prospects tomorrow. I just wish they had another pick coming up. There's a lot of 1st round talent still on the board. Heck, almost the whole 2nd round would be 1st rounders in a lot of other drafts.

Shhhhh. Vin just got here. Lol
- jimbro83

Haha it’s not that I don’t like the player it’s just that we didn’t draft a need, we drafted something we have an abundance of, I think Gorton is working on a bigger deal to be honest, Center is now our biggest hole

I gotcha.
Like always, time will tell. I just like to see some good tough kids with skill joining the organIzation, no matter what there position is. No more wussies

- rrentz

100% agree. They went heavy on skill for all these first rders recently, now they NEEDED to add some jam/toughness etc to protect all that skill. It sounds to me, and I don’t wanna necessarily compare because it’s not fair to Schneider, but I get modern day Scott Stevens from him. Maybe more speed. And THAT is a player you NEED to win cups. No one is going to wanna cross the slot with this guy looming around to knock you into next week.

They NEEDED to get tougher, and they did. Laf is a tough sob but I get that’s just an additional quality to him as a player. I love the Schneider pick and they stole home from the devils which makes it sweeter
