If you are handsome, married to a babe 11 years younger than you, work hard but nearly dirt poor then you might be me.

i'm wondering what the qualifying offer would have been...
he signed a 2yr./$7.550M deal with $2.850M in performance bonuses...do they go off of the base salary or the total AAV? - Michael Pachla
His qualifying offer was sub $1M, so he would have went to arbitration.
Sabres didn’t want to get stuck with the award I’d assume.
They better be moving Montour in a deal here for a top 6 forward. |

That's what I was wondering, cause his AAV is 3.7mill, probably smart they didn't want to go to Arb. If it is AAV. - Buff36
Nothing about losing a middle six player, who can score, play any position, is young, when you’re about to lose 2 of your other middle six players, is smart |

Must be something on Rossi and Perfetti the scouts are not seeing. Size, soft? I don’t know, but for 8 teams scouts to pass there is something off. - lulags
We as fans read all the hype on these prospects and believe what is being written but if all these writers were so smart why aren't they working for an NHL teams scouting department? Grigorenko dropped like anchor when he was top 3 if I remember right, who was right?
Ok, our scouts were wrong too lol I agree with what someone said yesterday, for the most part the NHL draft is a crapshoot |

i missed the sarcasm...
*shrugs* - Michael Pachla
No sarcasm, truly must be something off with these 2 guys and the scouts know it or they would have both been top 5 based on production |

There’s 0 reason to risk it.
It’s a one year award through arbitration
Their primary concern is $ and are now risking losing good players over it.
The owners are absolutely terrible and the GM has 0 experience and looks in over his head
Whatever.
