Watching the Nashville draft video, it looks like Adams tried to trade #8 for #11 and #37. Rumor is adams wanted Sanderson and when he got drafted by ottawa at #5 he figured at #11 he’d still probably get Quinn (or maybe Rossi or Perdetti). If those 3 went 8, 9, 10 he’d still get lundell.

Adams would’ve then traded 37 and 38 to get back into the first to get the guy they ended up with at 34. He was trying to anyways.

So the result probably would’ve been the same either way
