A lot of quality players that can most likely be had for cheap. I'm sure there will be more with teams right to the cap. Also, dependent on if the teams dont resign them.

There's nothing wrong with Sam Lafferties in the system. What I was getting at in my sarcastic comment is that its good to have these guys so that you can have them around for call up/4th line duty without having a vet of the same caliber take up over $1 mil to play that role.

Blomqvist - great with his glove hand. Rarely every out of position. He tracks the puck extremely well even through screens and on redirects. His skills are extremely good with rebound control. He is young, but very developed as a goalie. Most had him projected to go at pick# 50-56. Nothing later. They say he isn't very flashy with his athleticism. He just tracks the puck well and will get the job done stopping the puck.


Clang- is more athletic a lot of goalies. He is known for being clutch and winning games by himself. He is said to have not had the best defensive teams not defenseman in front of him. This is why a lot of his stats aren't as good as other goalies, but arguably he could be one of the best goalies in the class.

I see it as Blomqvist is a Murray pre injury type. Clang is more of a Fleury/Jarry type.

Wouldn't mind picking up some of the players mentioned in FA. It would be a nice way to get a few good priced younger players. Which JR did say his goal was to get younger and faster and there are quite a few players in FA available which fit that mold.

Again, GOOD pick for the 5th round.

What's funny is before I even read that I was think Simon. Sounds like he can handle the puck less but shoots better. Faster. But the type that maybe if you're lucky can be the 3rd guy supporting 2 scorers. Or maybe a pain in the neck bottom 6.

Not a reclamation project at all, Stetcher is a good dman. Probably a cap issue in Vancouver, because stetcher is a fan favourite.

RW is a joke - only good for a laugh at times. He talks about not wanting to overpay at this position, I can’t think of a cheaper way to acquire a player than drafting them.

This is very true. I think his point before I stopped reading is they take too long and are hard to trade. Realistically anyone is going to take too long now, just draft BPA. 2 goalies in a row is odd, so no idea if that's right, but drafting both Murray and Jarry in the first 3 rounds just a year apart worked out extremely well. I also know none of these guys to get upset on who we missed.

Depending on the type of contract he wants I’d like AA for the entertainment value. He’s an interesting player.
Also he and kapanen on the same line sounds like a fun line to watch.

I find it funny that all this was happening during the draft, like the GMs didn't have enough going on. Some interesting names. Doubt it's possible, but would love to reunite Kahun and McCann. Wonder what Stetcher gets? If he gets squeezed by the market I'd like him.
