As long as the term is short, he’d be nice. Most of the UFA goalies are old as (frank) so term is the key.
- Nucker101

Yup, one or MAYBE two years.

In 2011 they had six picks and three of those guys played over 400 NHL games as well as one guy with over 100 games, (frank)in Mike Gillis

Thanks to the crazy season, you can't even go out and get a euro goalie. They all playing under contract right now.

Get Raanta thrown into the OEL deal, he’s good but he’s not durable enough to be a starter, perfect platoon guy

The biggest negative to trading for OEL to me is that Tanner would become a Canucks fan....
- Pres.cup

lol Tanner did vehemently claim that OEL was a way better player overall than John Tavares

Guessing like 2M-ish on short term? Maybe a bit lower depending on who else is interested.

My current guesses for Canucks moves is one of OEL/Barrie + Simmonds

- Nucker101

I'd do it for like 1.5-1.75. 2 years max, ideally just 1 year.

A lot of trash there. Wennberg could be reclamation project for someone. Turris could be a sheltered tweener 3C for someone. Grabner a 4th line PK specialist. Ryan a tweener middle 6 winger who needs to play on a sheltered line as well.

Rannta is pretty much what they probably wish Markstrom would sign for plus savings for Arizona again.

12M eats up basically the rest of the Canucks cap space so a good chunk of Sutter, Baertschi has got to go the other way.

Which I think could be an opportunity for Arizona to play them and maybe Armstrong could acquire some assets for them at the next TDL.

I'm Bill Armstrong, Make me an offer.

The issue is apparently they might sell high on Kuemper since they don't think they'll be able to afford to pay him once his current deal is up. So I think they might just try to re-sign Raanta and hope he and Hill(or another goalie) can platoon since Raanta can't handle a starter's workload.

Lets Garland in the deal baby he has nice goal scoring numbers despite playing on a defensive team while getting limited minutes

Carl Soderberg would be a great third line center, more Swedes, trade Gaudette?

No idea if this is legit but this is interesting

According to this report from TVA Sports, the Vegas Golden Knights came close to trading Max Pacioretty at the draft on Tuesday night but the deal fell through. #VegasBorn

Vegas seems really desperate to shed cap, they've been rumoured to shop Fleury, Martinez, Stastny and Patches

Wennberg and Turris as just so soft. If they could have both still scored 60 points a season, I don't think they would be on the buyout list but if you can't score and you don't hit, you are Goldy.

Ryan at 1M, I would give it a try. He's a bigger body who probably hasn't been worn down as much over the years. I wouldn't be looking for him to fill a 2nd line role. He would be a 8-9 forward on the team. I'm sure he can still protect the puck. Almost iike the Pat Maroon over the past two years.

You talk about Miller how TB didn't pump his value. Well they played him on the 3rd line and he was deemed expendable. Van plays him with better players and magic happens.

JV during the regular season when he got top 6 ice time points per 60 went way up.

So what do they do in the playoffs give him less time with lesser players and you expect him to do better?

Better give that time to Sutter because he's an offensive dinamo.

Agree. Virtanin needs a change, then watch him flourish

I remember Garland being kind of a pain in the ass but so was Brad richardson to the Canucks.

Feels like year after year Arizona has a player that peaks a bit and next season sucks. No consistency in their players probably due to lack of top end talent.

Just look at James Neal

Boston was rumoured to be after JV because they thought he could be used in a different role that would suit him better.

Sell him then, I don't care, just don't waste him into nothing.

I think GMs this year finally realized that goalies have fluke years judging by the market..
