the term would have to be to help drop the aav. edmonton has mcdavid and draisatl locked up for the next 5 and no other goalie that looks to be cup contending ready in that span. not saying its good business but if im holland i dont see where you could solve this goalie problem any easier

it's an easy fix for the next couple of years but then....

i agree that it helps the oilers (and especially holland) out of the gate and that's what they need when they've got the players you've mentioned.
