Based on his real value 2m ish.
Will be signed before it goes to arb. 2/2.25m

- Nighthawk

i agree that will happen.... right after he fires his agent and does all the negotiations himself.

Irfaan Gaffar - Defense is probably the Canucks number one priority. They're kicking tires on Barrie. I've heard Barrie's ask is very large.

Stay clear....please Benning, stay clear.

yup. no way they let someone making $3m play on the bottom 6. that would be way too much money for bottom 6ers. benning wouldn't let that happen.

That was then (different circumstances) this is now. Plus he admitted on the over pay and the new flat cap reality just isn't a comparable to where things are going. Plus I see Pearson doing that role at near the same money so that's what I project they would to if they don't spend high on TT.

I hope Barrie keeps his ask high, we don’t have the cap to sign him and insofacto benning prevented future benning? 🤔😂

RW looks weak as (frank) minus Toffoli/Virtanen. If they trade Virtanen then I’d hope they don’t overpay a UFA winger

He was qualified and asked for arbitration. I maybe wrong but a qualifying offer for Jake is 100% of what he made last season. I’m not seeming it as a discount. I don’t think management is either. He wants more I get it but I don’t think he has proven he is worth it.

I think qualifying might be 110% but I mean why would he sign for less than the arbitrator is going to award prior to the trade?

Whether he plays here or elsewhere it's in his benefit to go to arbitration.

At first I was like "Oh God no." Then I realized it was an Ek rumor, so no chance of that happening.

Fast is a Hansen type. Smith is solid but i think he’ll get too much term.

Doubt Yzerman moves him

Mantha and Larkin are underrated, they’ll get more love if/when Detroit gets out of the basement

I think neither is on many teams radar and will end up being solid signings. Many others out there as well.
