I don't think AP is happening so my wishlist for tomorrow is Simmonds, Gudas, Tanev
- systemtool

agreed.
That would be ok depending on price.

I wouldn't mind Maroon.

Kaberle-Komksarek
Beauchemin-Schenn

That was Burke’s top-4. Why are we criticizing Dubas?

- Steven_Seagull

kabs was good.
Beauch was good the first year and great the first year after leaving the leafs.

Marchment for Malgin? Yes that is kinda funny.
- DrunkenCanuck

NHL games played:

Marchmen (25y)t: 4
Malgin (23y): 192

Is this a hill worth dying on? Seems to me the Leafs got a player who has NHL experience while Florida got someone with size who may never see another NHL shift in his career.

Beauchemin was fine... he had to play with brain dead Komisarek... that would wear on anyone.

A nice deflection.

Playoffs were fun.

- DrunkenCanuck

You know what else was a nice deflection?

That’s fine. Jimmy swings and misses but it’s coming together.

You can throw anything you want at me, the Nucks aren’t going to go down as the softest team assembled in League History.

Math Don’t Winsix Hockey.

- DrunkenCanuck

I can math with the best of them, including the dozen or so times I laughed my ass off when I see the Nucks are spending $3.366 Million for that barfbag Baertschi.

Apparently it will be delicious

His words.

I see dubas hasn’t given up on midget hockey
- gamerdoc

That term is offensive.

It’s U6feet hockey.

27 goals in 18/19 isn't exactly your typical 40 pts player. Aaand he's 6'3 225 and plays like it
- 21peter

I've been saying all along how much he is worth.

Bergavin probably just gave Domi away for him just for fun. No way other teams were offering close to that value as well. impossible.

Bergavin also signed him to that cap hit just for fun too.

JA is really (frank)ing good and I am jealous MTL has him and not TOR.

7 years seems a bit much for a guy who is a banger and has had injury woes.

I don't mind the salary, last season seems like an aberration, but the term? Ouch.

Fair Points.

The pushback would be, one is a prospect with pedigree, developed in house with a skill set (yes unproven) that was needed going forward. Wasn’t the guy a Marlie under Keefus? What’s the point of trading him for a guy you have too many of already?

The term brings the cap hit down...Always some risk in that.

I am willing to bet MTL gets a bargain as the deal plays out.

Tanev i don't trust to play a full season. I don't have a problem with Simmonds (if $1M or less). I like Maroon but I have a feeling that hasted on his playoff play he's going to be too pricey. Would prefer Perry instead off getting those two. I don't see the point in spending money on Gudas

To be honest, I don't know. I'm guessing the Leafs wanted to add someone with some speed who had experience and, presumably, could contribute in a limited role.

Marchment hasn't progressed much and I guess the Leafs didn't see him as anything more than an AHL tier player.

Frankly, I would have liked to have seen more of Marchment. Maybe he could turn into a Martin/Clutterbuck type for the Leafs? I'm guessing Leafs mgmt just didn't see him evolving into that role.

Look feller. I hate Sven and his ass contract. I’ve only recently come around on Jimmy BlackTop and continue to be skeptical on him.

Malgin is a guy you can put anywhere into the lineup as required without a lot of worry. coaches like that

I agree. I think it'll only get worse as it goes on.. Maybe after the 2nd year of the deal.

His picks of Hughes, Boeser and especially Pettersson were great, Juolevi and Virtanen - not so much. Jury is still out on Podkolzin
