He is not a fit. He is pure offensive speedy but not a good enough goal scorer. He does not commit to defensive effort. Two teams just gave up on him. Pass on him

Joakim Nordstrom? He’s developed into a decent 4th line energy guy who throws the body. Hawks need a dependable 4th line for depth.

No issues. Interchangeable third line offensive center capable of moving up to #2 line. Speedy, skilled, reliable.
He was just the right fit to add or subtract in a couple of trades. More about changing the look and addressing needs of teams involved in trades. Give him some descent wingers and a full season ....I bet he could get on the board with a point most nights.

too expensive. They will want term and hold out late trying to get term. Somebody might increase their low ball offers, but not by much. My prediction.

Don't need to add 4th line players, although i like Nordstrom. He was always a smart player in Chicago organization. But smart money says we have plenty of future bottom two lines prospects knocking at the door and promising in Rockford.

This I agree with. Like it has been mentioned here Saad brings more than the 20 goals that he scores, many more intangibles, jut probably more of a $5M player, and in my opinion we did not get enough in return.

That said, since these moves are signaling a rebuild, as much as possible with the 4 Core guys still in the fold, I'm hoping Stan can find a way to accumulate some more picks in next year's draft.

I'd like to to see a continued infusion of youth and would start with dealing deHaan to make room for Carlsson. Not sure there is a spot for Mitchell right now and wouldn't be bad if he spent some time in RFD.

I'm guessing dealing Saad possibly means Suter makes the team out of camp...believe he's a LW.

I think DeHaan's worth/value will increase after he plays some games this coming year. He is coming off an injury and did not play that well in his return. But if he plays as well as he did at the beginning of last season, he may bring a pretty decent return.

i get people are upset with the return Saad brought. But whats not to like about a hard hitting defensive defense man? we don't have any. Need met. I was never a Saad fan especially with his first departure and i was pissed he came back for a second tour. Did we get fair value, in this market right now no one is gonna get fair market value.
