i get people are upset with the return Saad brought. But whats not to like about a hard hitting defensive defense man? we don't have any. Need met. I was never a Saad fan especially with his first departure and i was pissed he came back for a second tour. Did we get fair value, in this market right now no one is gonna get fair market value. - SaskHawkFan
That's right. |

And need created.
Again, it’s robbing Peter to Pay Paul...and retaining additional salary in the process. It’s nonsensical. If Zadorov were a free agent acquisition, I’d be more inclined to be on board, but this move will never make sense to me. |

Perhaps. IMO much easier to fill the foward slot than the one on defense |

Top 6 power forwards are easier to replace than a bottom pairing D-man? |

Saad hasn't exactly tore it up with us. Power forward is subjective. He hasn't impressed me much since coming back. |

He's another version of Carpenter/Kampf. Maybe closer to Kruger in usefulness. Defensive specialist where offense goes to die. Good on the PK, not worth that cap hit though. |

Toews - Dach - Strome (presumably) - Kampf....
Where does he play? Can't bury $2.25 in the "A".
Perhaps they're looking at an increased roster size, up from 23 to ? |

I'm all for a good, hard to play against pk ... but agree with the cap hit. Still need top 6 help & I'm not sure we have that in house. As of yet ... |

Agreed, and I will go even further, it is easier to score goals than to stop goals. If the Blackhawks can get a PP that has a pulse, they should not have much problems scoring goals. Need defensive help all over this roster. |

He can play on the wing with Carpenter-Kampf. I personally hope he's not with any offensive guys anywhere because it'd be like playing Kruger there. And I loved Kruger, he was one of the best at his role, but he sucked the offense out of practically everyone.
Dallas used his 3L partially because their bottom 6 had no offense so he couldn't hurt anyone. |

I'm just looking at his stat page, and he had 15 and 19 goals respectively in his first two seasons. Then two seasons where he scored six goals apiece, and here we are today. What's the true picture here? |

He might be able to score a bit more with the right linemates and/or if he can get in closer but I wouldn't expect a repeat of his first couple of years based on his micro stats and individual play. |
