I actually like sports debate shows.
But they can be moronic at times.
Debating is one of my favorite things about sports. - sbroads24

If the Michigan St bridge was still there and not taken out back in the day, it would’ve alleviated a ton of traffic - dadeadhead
Ok
But i don’t think Buffalo has anything close to bad traffic |

Mittlestadt, Ullmark, Skunk and next years 1st to Chicago for Kane
Montour, 22 2nd, 21 3rd to Arizona for Kuemper
Skinner Eichel Kane
Hall Staal available
Olo available available
available Eakins Okposo
Girgs
Lazar
Thompson
Cozens
Reider
That top line would be a highlight machine and this gets them in the playoffs
Chicago needs to rebuild I don’t even know if this fits cap wise and I’m not looking it up

Congrats on Hall
I'm not sure how much his game has changed since Edmonton but, from my experience, I think he'd do better on a line where he's the primary puck carrier. Alongside Staal and whichever of Olofsson or Reinhart is better at finding open space in and around the slot/net (ala Eberle) would strike me as the ideal fit.
He and Eichel wouldn't be BAD together, but I think their skillsets are best maximized on separate lines. |

Looking forward to other moves that finalize the roster. Our division has gotten tougher in the last few days. Detroit had a great weekend. Ottawa will be a powerhouse in 2 years or so. I hope Boston starts their fade...but Craig Smith will help slow that down. I hate Montreal and Toronto (the Fighting Veseys). Florida will be good again and then there is TB. Even with some of their losses, they will be awesome again.
They have Barrie-Boulet in Syracuse, who can easily fill in for Johnson. The only way I see them keeping all RFAs is to have one of them commit to a Kevin Lebanc sweetheart deal that gets them to when the flat cap is lifted, then that player gets paid. but, what do I know? I wanted to choke Jr yesterday for his flight stalking....good job, Jr.
As always, thanks to 89, 36,34, and the broad for their insights into the org. |

The bold seems like at least a bit of an assumption considering he hasn't played any NHL games yet? |

Fair point.
I've watched him during his time in Syracuse. (I live in Syracuse). He is a mix between Johnson and Point. I think he can deliver what Johnson does. IMHO. |

From a Sabres perspective, then maybe you tell Tampa you will take Johnson in a trade with no salary retained, but only if they include Barre-Boulet as well? |

I am back reading, and I keep seeing everyone has Hall with Eichel. They are too similar of players, and both like to carry the puck. Move Skinner back with Eichel and Reinhart
Skinner Eichel Reinhart
Hall Staal Cozens (sounds like this is where he is going)
Olofsson TBD (give me haula) Thompson
Girgensons Eakin Lazar
Bench: Okposo Reider - Mentalorgasm5

I am late to the party and didn't read the comments. I see Hall as a great signing. He is a LW but we have too many. I certainly can see the 1 year deal as an awesome move. He can play 40 games and be traded for a 1st round pick plus a prospect. I think he will also be used to leverage Sam to sign. It doe not help Olofssen. That leaves Skinner out and he is signed to a very long term. That needs to be dealt with. If Hall is later moved, we still have Skinner.
Hall, Jack, Sam if they are a line. Skin would be 2 LW and Olo is 3LW and PP guy.
Skinner, Staal and Tage is a defensive nightmare. 2 C and RW are needed.

It’s not bananas honestly.
That said there is a sh!t ton of NFTA land that could be used more wisely as well.
Like the whole waterfront - dadeadhead
but then how would the NFTA claim losses and get breaks on taxes. |

Taylor Hall's $8 million contract will actually pay him only $6.4 million due to escrow. And a further $640,000 of salary will be referred to a later year.
As such he'll receive the lowest salary he's had since his entry level contract ended in 2012-13.
The bolded confuses me |

Yeah I saw that too...
I have no idea what it means, like does it count towards the cap in a later year?
Or is it just money?

I wish I could get a $640,000 salary deferred to a later year.
