Eakin (no “s”) scores 22goals for Vegas 2 seasons ago
He could be alright for us, maybe even “good”
Especially if he’s at 3C - jdfitz77

With the Hall signing finally settling in, any insight to their next few steps of this offseason (excluding Reinhart, Olofsson, and Ullmark RFA deals/arbitration)? - CynicalSabre07
We’ve been rumored to be looking for a goalie for a few weeks now |

Especially with hearing potential 6 or so mill a year for him. Surprised he did 4yrs. - Buff36
$$ must be tight around the league
Also, Toffoli is overrated imo
Possible there’s teams out there that felt the same |

Yeah if a certain someone would care a 1/4 for hockey as much as his Bon bon's and Snickers Ice Cream Bars we probably would have had one already. |

%100 out of a %1,000 ?
Seemed like hall liked playing with elite talent in eichel, playing with stahl, training with skinner and the pegula's commitment to winning?
Maybe you should read the article?
Maybe I should re - read it? - Boss34
I think Eichel did have a LOT to do with it. I think if it was with the Oilers (Pre mcdavid), Devils, or even the Coyotes. Hall was " the guy" and the entire weight of the franchise was on his shoulders.
Here in Buffalo. Jack Eichel is the guy and Hall doesnt have to be. In the letter he wrote he mentioned just wanting to be "one of the guys"."
Just my opinion. |

MAF and a 2nd with salary retained to equal the salary of Miller and Hutton going the other way. |

I am a big fan of slotting players correctly in their roles. Eakins as a 3C and 2.5 million is a minor risk. When he played with Laine anddddd forgetting the other winger. He put up 5 points in 8 games Jets.
Heck even grumpy 89 .... likes him (joking)
The odd man out top 6 wise ....... will play with Eakins. So its not like he wont have any help or support. Heck our 3rd line left winger could be olofsson.

Although Chicago has traded/traded for Brandon Saad 3 times now so who knows |

Hello DK, I hope that all is well with you.🤙
I'm so happy to hear the Pegulas tell Hall that they want to win NOW.
That and them signing Hall changes the way that I was thinking about the Pegulas and this franchise just a few short days ago.
It will be so nice to actually sit and watch this team this winter and know that they could win any given game.
We collectively as Sabres fans deserve this.

Completely agree:
Probably a bit of a relief, let eichel be the big man on campus.
Adding hall, and re-signing guys that bring it game in and game out, that want to be here.
Must have been some serious whining between bogo, erod and others. |

I am a big fan of slotting players correctly in their roles. Eakins as a 3C and 2.5 million is a minor risk. When he played with Laine anddddd forgetting the other winger. He put up 5 points in 8 games Jets.

He was dreadful with the Jets. Really bad for Vegas before going there this year.
Our bottom 6 is a problem right now with Lazar in a shutdown role and Eakin in the top 9.

Eakins played with Laine and Ehlers. He is playing with nowhere near that kind of talent on Buffalo.
Expecting the 40+ point Eakin here seems like an expectation doomed for failure.
Over/under on points this season for Eakin is 30.
We'll see if he can magically turn himself into a good defensive center. |

I think it’s fair to say that without Ralph,
Hall probably doesn’t consider us
I think it’s also fair to say that the other factors Hall stated played a role in him choosing us
Otherwise, no need to mention them really |

Eakins and Girgs
With them. The forward roster is complete.
Sell a D and get a goalie
And roll the dice
I believe in analytics and understand them. But I don’t believe they are end all be all knowing.
Eakins played great with the jets and sucked with Vegas before Vegas ran out tod cap space
The advanced stats don’t take his role and who he was playing with into consideration. - Sabretooth9
What does the bold mean?
I ask because they absolutely do take into account his linemates. |

Lots of ways this lineup could go
Gotta factor in Cozens somewhere as well |

Here's 4 names to keep an eye on the Sabres acquiring:
Jordan eberle
Ryan Nugent Hopkins
Justin Schulz
* Devan dubnyk
This is the most probable in my opinion
- Boss34
Dubnyk was just acquired by the sharks a few days ago, and schultz just signed a new contract a few days ago. |

Is Eakin getting cushy offensive zone starts with high end talent like Laine and Ehlers?
Don't you want the Eichel and Staal lines to take the bulk of the offensive zone starts? |
