You are female digging about a 3C ....
How many points do you want your 3C to have each season production wise??
At 2.5 at 3C. I expect 25-30 points anything else is a bonus - Sabretooth9
You guys are missing the point but it’s clear that this discussion is going no where |

Bc he’s here & we can’t do anything about it
And no one knows if we could’ve done better

I'm just happy to know that we have a hockey team that will not nauseate us this upcoming season.

Ralph got the team Hall, and so if he wanted Eakins for his style of play and how it would change the culture of the team he gets an A O K with me. |

Eakins is a 3C. That’s a great role for him.
A depth player has up and down seasons. Hence why they are depth players.
Every analytics darling player 3rd liner has also been up and down points wise depending on the season. - Sabretooth9
Points, yes, but the defensive performance is still consistently good, unlike Eakin, and that's the main point.
Who is replacing Larsson defensively? Certainly not Eakin with what he's shown to date. |

I still think this is overblown. Eichel will be taking on the best line of the other team.
On the road, you don't get to choose anyway so it's moot |

U got a source on this Boss??
Or just your personal guesses? - jdfitz77
I just went thru the Edmonton/ Ralph coached teams and current nhl players. See who ralph could recruit.
Most of these guys just signed or signed last year.
Petry signed big with the habs, wasnt even mentioned.
I did get a couple tips on hall. From time to time I get an inside view of the pegula's. Its %100 opposite of what people post here.
89 and gerbe seem to have a good angle on Terry and kim.
I can add this, in regards to the pegula's:
They had some internal issues with management. They got taken advantage of, and are now trying to replace with trusted ( family and friends) employees.
They're good people, no one here wanted to hear that.
I come off as a pegula apologist.
Russ Brandon and Gilbert and the rest of the perverts needed to be fired for misconduct. Tough spot for Kim being a female president/owner. Those guys weren't fired for work issues. Tough to replace Brandon and his connections abruptly. Thus the Sh!t show and understandably more interest in the nfl/ buffalo Bill's.

I agree.
I think that Eakins is here more for veteran leadership as well.
Just my opinion though.🤷🏻♂️
Just in case one of those losing streaks begin again and inside the locker room the "sky is falling" feeling sets in, we have a few more vets to correct that type of mentality.
Just my opinion.
His value is perhaps more than meets the eye. |

10 points in 41 games with Vegas this past season while being bad defensively is what I would certainly call bad. - kingcong39
Any of your graphs or charts show if eaken was nursing an injury? |

I think people are taking the article of a past business major who made himself into a hockey expert without any scrutiny. Chad IKnowitallitis should be read and understand his agenda and then watch the player play and with the Sabres and then make up your minds. |

Honest question, because I’ve tried to be totally civil with you for a while. But are you intentionally being dense here?
You are dragging this on by arguing against what we are saying on Eakin.
Notice how we aren’t debating Hall? We all agree he’s great
I think Eakin sucks. You don’t. Fantastic. I’ll move on.....when you do |

I’d say difference is Eakin doesn’t have cult like group of people who won’t admit he isn’t really good after 7 years - sbroads24
I'm sure there's eakin defenders too.
I'm %1,000 sure. |

Sometimes it's not always about points, yes they help too. But for the last 2yrs this team has started out very strong, and then faltered and the youngsters didn't know how to break out of it, lack of leadership or the right leadership. With Staal, Eakins and Hall have been through some wars, maybe that leadership will take this young core to that next level and be able to break that falter before it gets out of hand. |

I was optimistic coming into this offseason.
This offseason was shaping up to be the offseason we really had to make our move regardless of Eichel making his displeasures public.
Eichel, Dahlin, Cozens, Joker, Reinhart, Skinner is a good core and I’m happy Hall agreed.
Getting Hall is an absolute game changer for us.
I would like us to address our goaltending however. |
