Who’s out there potentially trying to trade a goalie?
Is it just ARZ & CBj at this point? - jdfitz77
Vegas...
Edit... already mentioned... sorry.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about KA, I highly recommend everyone listen to his interview on S&BD today.
You can knock his experience and whatever, but goddamn the guy comes across so well, so clearly and so genuinely. He just gets it - jcragcrumple
Well when you say one thing and then do the opposite that's quite easy.
I'm super pumped for Hall, but the bottom 6, defense and goal tending is atrocious and he's done nothing about it yet.

I should’ve specified “that would be a good option for us”
I want nothing to do with Fleury unless they’re giving us something really good to take him |

I think atrocious is far too strong of an adjective to describe any one of those areas |

Do u think he’s gonna be able to fix all our issues in ONE offseason?
Could anyone realistically? |

I agree - he comes across as genuine like Beane does bit not as polished |

Kuemper is the guy I want from ARZ. $4.5m cap hit would have to be offset by deep sixing Hutton and trading a RHD. |

Couldn’t agree more on Kuemper
If all we did was bring him in & ship out Hutton,
then I’d say we could jump over the Leafs |

Really? We have a backup goalie as our starter, and a guy who should retire as his backup. Is their a worse goalie tandem in the league?
I’ll have to find the tweet, but our projected 3rd line is ranked the 34th best “3rd” line which means 3 teams have 4th lines better than our 3rd.
Our 4th line is an AHL tweener centering two overpaid wingers
Ralph Krueger being coach has saved this offseason |

Yeah, I would need a heaping spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down. And I really like MAF.... and if you could make the cap work and unload Hutton, I take that swing with the big spoonful of sugar.
Or it’s c bus or Az.... It seems Mitts vid ya game and doughnuts have monkey wrenched that move a bit.... |

hOLY SH*T - do you see we just got Hall? Tell me you're being sarcastic, please tell me.
Bottom 6 is better, and if you factor in Tage and Cozens, could be significantly better, D is status quo, but changes may still occur there and same with goaltending. 3 days into the new hockey year.... |

I have a higher opinion of Ullmark than a backup.
Whats the projected 3rd line? I assume their projection doesn't include Cozens or Olofsson |

“I’m super pumped for Hall” is in the post you quoted.
And what correlation does Taylor Hall have with our goaltending or defense? |

I guess I look at the 2018/19 season and see this:
Sam reinfart 22 goals -10
Cody eaken 22 goals +19
I then look at the contract - 2.2 million vs. 6 million?
I look at having new faces, and a true nhl veteran with Stanley cup playoff experience
Sam is not (eye test) a good defensive player.
He would be a penalty killer, if so.
He's slow and won't add a spark if/when needed
He GAVE UP last year in a shift , maybe the sammers can hide that away, but the coach hasn't forgotten that play. Guaranteed - Boss34
Perhaps you need better eyes? 🤔🤔🤔

The projected 3rd line is Olofsson, who had issues at even strength, Eakin, who has issues all over the ice analytically, and Tage, who is, well, Tage. |

Sorry I was off
31st ranked 3rd line (Worst in the league) or Reider/Eakin/Cozens
22nd ranked 4th line of Girgs/Lazer/Okposo
Now I know you are a HUGE Thompson fan now that Adams likes him enough to sign him so maybe that changes things |

So the third line is being dragged down by cozens not having a grade |

Wow great stats for that 3rd like. Reider is going to be in Rochester or a healthy scratch. So while you are dooming and glooming Eakins.
change out reider for a player that will actually be playing. They dips the stats pretty low.
I also thing cozens is on the top 2 lines at right wing. Let Sam or olofsson go to the 3rd line.
Mitts - Eakins - Sam
The analytics on that I am sure would be much better.

In the other projections I've seen, they use a replacement level grade for Cozens because he's a rookie.
They also have the 3rd line as Olofsson - Eakin - Tage. |

The most frequent combination I've seen is Olofsson - Eakin - Tage, and the results are just as bad.
I can't see them suddenly moving Reinhart to the 3rd line after being stapled to Eichel's line for a while, can you? |
