The projected 3rd line is Olofsson, who had issues at even strength, Eakin, who has issues all over the ice analytically, and Tage, who is, well, Tage. - kingcong39
Last month you projected ka-boohoo-hun (T.M. powerslave) on the 2nd line 😀
Now you have olloffson on the 3rd line ☝️
Which 6 guys are ahead of olloffson? |

I only think you're seeing Cozens projected in the top 6 as an RW because the Sabres have openly talked about starting him on the wing of Staal's line. - kingcong39
And that may end up being what they are doing. I just don't like it.

Sorry I was off
31st ranked 3rd line (Worst in the league) or Reider/Eakin/Cozens
22nd ranked 4th line of Girgs/Lazer/Okposo
Now I know you are a HUGE Thompson fan now that Adams likes him enough to sign him so maybe that changes things - sbroads24
The HUGE Thompson signing was more or less good asset management. Not sure if the Sabres really "expect " him to play top 9?
My point of view

I never did with Kahun. Try again.
Hall - Eichel - Reinhart
Skinner - Staal - Cozens (based on what the coach himself has hinted at multiple times) |

again - 3 days into the NHL year. It takes time to clean up the mess created by the last two gm's - turbo044
I’m basing this off of him either
A- lying his face off when he said he’s using an analytical, data driven approach to the draft and roster
Or
B- Stupid because he did the opposite at the draft and with the mishandling of contracts so far |

I agree.
I think that Eakins is here more for veteran leadership as well.
Just my opinion though.🤷🏻♂️
Just in case one of those losing streaks begin again and inside the locker room the "sky is falling" feeling sets in, we have a few more vets to correct that type of mentality.
Just my opinion.
His value is perhaps more than meets the eye. - Over50
Good post. We don't know yet what type of team we are in the playoffs/ie soft like TO, not enough secondary scoring, or whatever...but we sure have been lacking solid leadership in the room, not just from one or two players, for a long time. Our seasons deflate from January onward.
However, I want Okposo gone so, so badly. |

To be fair, or maybe realistic, Dubas and Chayka pulled the same act (preached one thing, but most often did the opposite). |

Dude, the GM sucks again. It’s ok. I’m perfectly happy. I’m used to it.
I’m super happy for Taylor Hall and Dahlin becoming a beast this season - sbroads24
The GM that got Staal and Hall in 3 months on the job is bad because they re-signed lesser Larry, signed Eakin and took Quinn instead of Rossi?
Bad opinion. JB is gone and he's never coming back |

Let's focus on how the 3rd line could be optimal and work.
You have Cozens be the RW for Eakins and tell Cozens to not worry or be concerned with putting up points. Just focus on being strong defensively.
Cozens has the tools to be a good defensive forward, and that would be a boon for Eakin.
As would having Kahun as LW on that line.
The hope for the 4th line is the duo of Girgensons and Okposo help Lazar through any struggles he may have with the defensive zone minutes that line is sure to get. |

Hall is so obviously a good player that one of zombies from The Walking Dead would know that.

Az is interesting , here's a thought..
Kuemper ($4.5m), Chychrun ($4.6m), Stepan ($6.5m) - IonSabres[$15.6m]
For
Montour ($3.8m), Mitts ($0.8m?), Hutton ($2.75m) [$ 7.35m]
Saves AZ $8.25m...55% of their goal to reduce by $15m
Sabres get a 1a Goal and 2nd pairing LhD along with a serviceable
Stephan leaves next season allowing that money to go to bridge deals for Dahlin and Joker.
Will then need to sell Risto and Sam
Skinner/Hall - Eichel - Stepan
Skinner/Hall - Staal - Cozens
Olofsson - Eatkin - Thompson
Girgs - Lazar - Okposo
Dahlin - Miller
Chrychrun - Joker
McCabe - Borgen
Kuemper
Ullmark
Ahhh one can dream
Did u forget Reinhart? |

Trust me I know how you feel. I hated Murray so much I wanted to believe Botterill was good. He wasn’t.
You’re doing the same with Adams. He looked like a dumpster fire until Krueger and the Pegula’s got us Hall. |

The sooner he takes the 3C spot from Cody it’s the freakin Eakin the better.
I sincerely can’t believe they took the LOG line, which would’ve been excellent to have behind Staal and Eichel, and made it a black hole
Oh and we still have 1,521 RD, and bad goalies. - sbroads24

Your kinda a southern flaccoville, I get it now.
I called you out on your 2nd line ka-boohoo-hun (T.M. powerslave) . You didnt like it.
Cozens could definitely slide ahead of olloffson into the top 6
Good post 👍

It sounds to me like they're working in tandem, and if it works, then more power to it.

Wouldn’t it be nuts if Krueger signs him next? |
