Does Quinn get a realistic shot of making this roster this year?
Can he make this roster this year? |

When everyone says "the secondary moves", we're really only talking about one move here.
Girgensons.
Let's face it, Rieder, Irwin and the other Larry D man who's name I can't remember (Davidson?) are inconsequential. They were all signed for the league minimum and are depth players at most.
Eakin? He fills another hole at 3C for us, like him or not. - Powerslave
I don't believe the bold is correct.
The secondary moves we're talking about are Girgensons and Eakin vs. Larsson and Kahun. |

I heard he did this with Girgensons too. No pressure Zemgus, only a 600k raise and term when you can get a pay cut on a one year deal on the open market. Take your time - sbroads24

For someone who liked the LOG line quite a bit,
he’s sure is concerned about the supposed overpay
Girgs basically got a .25mil raise each year,
for 3yrs
That’s actually a good contract if he keeps playing like last season
If not, we overpaid a LITTLE
Definitely NOT a big deal - jdfitz77
Girgs outplayed his last contract by scoring 12 goals
That deserves a raise and "our puppet gm" ( T.M. crags) made the smart move keeping someone who is exactly what the Sabres new identity is.
Players that work hard, wants to be here, wants to win |

These are not make or break moves to me. There's nothing wrong with a little chemistry shake up with the bottom 6. Some are acting like we broke up the line of Luce, Ramsay and Gare.
He (they?) fixed this top 6. That's the most important thing. |

Botterill literally is the reason why we have Hall.
He hired Kreuger last time I checked.
Jason Botterill was the Dark Knight. The hero was needed whom was greatly misunderstood.
With some luck included, he was responsible for Dahlin, Cozens, Joker, Skinner, Pilut, Miller.
The ROR move hurt but that was on the owners more so then anything.
Botts gets a primary assist on the Hall signing.
Gets a secondary assist on the Staal trade since it was his asset in Mojo that he brought in. - Pegullaville
Idk that u can give him props for the Staal trade,
but i agree with the rest |

I don't consider them make or break issues either.
Only points of concern to note.

Hope your not driving anywhere soon ion 😐
I have seats in the 300's row 3 as well. Probably sit there an even amount of the time . 300's sabres shoot twice.
100's opponent shoots twice. I sell those fairly easy to offset costs involved in supporting this sh't show for years.
You do see way more from above. Down low behind the net , you can only see basically to the other blue line. Before you need to look up at the scoreboard. Its great when it's right in front of you.. - Boss34
JK'g Boss...you throw out going to the games like it is critical to go to see anthing...so I like to harass you on it.
I sat in Row 1 of 300's since the move from The Aud...split seasons with a group of guys...4 seats right between the Blue and Red line....went to 15+/- games most seasons
Loved seating up high to watch the play develop.
I also used to be gifted 100's around the rink...hated those seats |

I agree Krueger was essential to land hall. Ill definitely give him an assist there and a hearty #servicesmissed
That said im sure he would have outbid Guerin for Bjugstad and then re-signed Vesey and Simmonds. There would have been no time for hall with names like that |

I’m more concerned with the draft because it’s been the teams biggest issue forever
First chance they get, trying to throw picks away to get back into the first |

Isn't it, though, when you've missed the playoffs for 9 years?
If he'd brought Larsson back, too (I don't care that he's making $1.4 million) Adams would've been crucified and everyone in here knows it. |

I'm just hopeful that at least one of Quinn or Peterka will be very good on an ELC.
If both are, home run. |

I like Quinn more now. Still would’ve preferred Rossi but I think Quinn has the chance to be good.
I think if Hall resigns Reinhart is gone very soon and they hope Quinn takes that spot |

If he had extended Larsson instead of Girgensons, and extended Kahun instead of signing Eakin, I don't think he would have been crushed for doing that. |

Omg a lot of Chedder for a dman over 30. LV is vulnerable - Adams should be on the phone now seeing who he can get with MAF for free, basically - turbo044
I think that TPegs would have to blow up the internal cap to do that. Who knows, maybe getting Hall is going to motivate him to do so now that there is hope on the horizon. |

He did? - kingcong39
Kinda
He was at 1.6mil this past season
Next year, 2.0mil
Following year, 2.2mil
Last year, 2.4mil
Maybe he’s slightly overpaid?
That tbd
Certainly not worth getting up in arms about though |
