He will be gone , they aren't very popular right now. They have no loyalty to players, they bring in. They see a shiny new toy and they trade or sign for it, then after a year or two another new toy comes out and they ship out the old toy and bring in another.

We need a real goalie.

The problem isn't the basic number, rather the proper distribution of different types and contracts across the roster to be; economical, effective and efficient...and I say those words in sincerity.
The are overloaded at 2 & 3 RhDs now, and need decent 2LhD and a Partner for Dahlin.

Not many teams have a combo of Hall and Eichel, tied with a player who can score 5 on 5 like skinner.

Pilut has an opt with his KHL deal.

But a top pair quality defenseman for a 3rd is well worth figuring it out
Of course that’s not as easy this season
Tough to pass up that talent so cheap though

Don't know but they seem to throw things away when they find new things. I'm guessing some of these players aren't fans of DeBoer, that's what they are saying here. I can care less because it's only the Sabres for me.
