Even if he did,
He gave more term to Eakin and Girgensons than Hall and Staal. I didnn't know we were gearing up for one final cup run this season. - sbroads24
didn't want to have to protect Hall in the expansion draft at the expense of a young cheap contract. He traded for Staal who only had 1 year left on his contract |

but he is now a sabre
just like staal, and eakin
we can question the first rd pick, but nobody is questioning what adams did in the second rd, by moving up and getting his man
trust me, I have been very vocal about my dismay for the sabres over the last 6 months, but right now given what has happened, there is no reason for anyone to be upset with what is going on
maybe botts just wasn't meshing with the owners and ralph
maybe kim and terry want ralph, long term to be upstairs between them and the gm and this is the training for that
all I know is they like gus for whatever reason and they landed hall
that's good enough for me given what has happened in the previous few off seasons
hall is clearly the best free agent we ever landed, even if he got hurt and never played a game
the sabres are now on the map with 1 simple addition that cost us no assets - homiedclown
To me this means ones thing:
Adams is a mouth piece between the organization and the media/fans.
This is Ralph’s team. Whenever good or bad I still question a guy who doesn’t put their 40 goal scorer on the wing with their elite center. Who they just signed for $9 million a year.

Youre in denial if you think otherwise.
He traded for Staal and brought in Hall.
Two things botts couldn't do. How many years were we looking for anyone who couldn't handle the 2nd line center roll.
Youre hate for him is unreal. - Mentalorgasm5
To be fair, probably not the same amount of dislike that I had for beady eyed douche bag.
I seen right through him, right from the start.
Not that I needed to or wanted to be right but I had Murray pegged from the start.

Oh on the contrary.
Going up and “getting your man” is quite literally the dumbest thing a GM can do during the draft. Wasting assets
It’s a total crapshoot and Adams basically admitted he miscalculated it.
It goes completely against what they claimed they wanted to do implementing data and analytics into scouting |

I value your opinion Lunaion.
👍
I see 1 difference between lazar and girgs.
7 goal differential last season
Gurgs 12
Lazar 5
Everyone else in the league gets paid accordingly based on goal scoring. Why is it different for girgensons?
Ralph knows how much he will use him and what to expect.
The past teams and coaches were terrible. Bylsma personally stifled gurgs. - Boss34
When Zemgus scores his typical 7 goals again next season and Lazar has 5, what will the difference matter anymore?
Also, players are paid on much more than simple goal scoring. |

The moves, aside from the obvious ones where you didn't need advanced statistics and metrics to tell it was a smart move, have made the bold abundantly clear. Further, it sure seems like Ralph is the key one calling the shots with Adams being there in a support role. |

Mid first round pick , in a draft where nal yakupov went #1 overall.
Handed everything? He works hard every shift? I understand he has great overall practice habits.

489 games played in the nhl
59 out of 61 goals scored at even strength.
The most incredible stat?
ONLY a -53 after 4 coaches and systems and being a career sabre. 2 full tanks.
Always the tough match up against other top line players thru out the nhl
All star game.
I just do not understand the hate?
He's a great community guy and human being.
Basically a Buffalo guy, which some here will appreciate once we start winning.
I'm not sure why you feel like I judge these players on looks? You probably should stop, before your feelings get hurt - repeatedly 👊
*sorry to have to draw the line, eventually it needed to be drawn.
Pommer is an unbelievably high character guy.
Another " Buffalo guy"
But Erod and 2C . How much use does your old style e rod jersey get? 🤔 - Boss34
"The most incredible stat about Zemgus is that he's only a -53"
I guess that feels right

Honestly it’s the reason I am ragging on him.
His claim to fame is trying his hardest to make the wrong moves at the NHL draft and trading for a dinosaur of an ex teammate with 1 year left on a contract.
All while not moving one of Montour or Risto despite lying and saying they were going to a more analytical approach, and doing nothing so far about the leagues worst goalie tandem. Those things can change though
He’s bad. So far.
Thank god the coach is liked by guys like Hall |

If the team bottoms out again this coming season, the aftermath will lilely be the biggest cratering of a franchise possibly in NHL history. |

He also was Minny’s top line center, who’s now our second center and won’t be getting top PP time, especially with Hall here.
He’s probably a 40 point player for one year and then gone into the wind.
What. A victory. |

We got Taylor Hall.
As far as I’m concerned I’m not going to complain for the rest of the offseason.
Can’t promise I won’t complain next offseason though. |

We exchanged Mojo for him.
Analytics look great as well.
He should be more then ok for this year to handle the 2C role and we can assess it again next offseason. |

I found it funny that Hall said Not sure when I can Visit buffalo as there is a travel ban ..... Hard to imagine the jet landed there picked him up and he is broadcasting from his home in Toronto for his intro.. Guess the fight Tracking was all for not. - gordong
They flew there to have him sign.

I’m rejuvenated after the Hall signing. But Adams has 0 to do with it so we can still talk about what other issues they face.
The fact that he’s still done zip about the goaltending or the 85 RD we have is mind numbing. |

Yeah, sounds like the whole plane stalking thing was bs. Gerbe either heard something he shouldn’t have, or his Pops told him something that shouldn’t have been shared. Then Gerbe couldn’t keep it to himself. I imagine he’s catching hell from Dad if this is the case. |

The funny part about Quinn is that most mock drafts had I’m going right around our pick. Give or take a couple slots
So Sabres fans are acting like we reached for EJ Manuel in the first Round all over again

Name one free agent the Sabres brought in bigger than Hall. Ever.

Yes he was Minnesota's 1C but basic common hockey knowledge would lead one to realize he was playing vs the other teams toughest line, being the 1C. Being a 2C gives him more favorable matchups |

Sure, or Hall and Eichel both finish top 5 in scoring.
Eichel is a Hart finalist or even wins the thing entirely.
Cozens is a Calder finalist if he rides on the first line or fits well with Skinner and Staal on line 2.
Dahlin has his coming out party and cements himself as the best young d-man in the NHL.
Joker solidifies himself as a solid top 4 RHD.
Skinner scores his 25 goals and 50 points.
Ullmark takes the next step.
It’s not all doom and gloom. |
