That's alright, Jan. Family first. You'll just have to give your dollar back.
BTW, happy Thanksgiving to any other Canadians poking around!

nope, he has not signed

but, just indulge me, if Fast did return, how do you see the lines working out?

I don’t even know, Jim, tbh.
He’s just been my favourite player on the team since G left and I hate seeing him go.

If he was going to cost us 2 million and accept a 4th line role, great, keep him. But he’s going to get 3+ and not only can we not afford that, we don’t have a spot for him in the top 9.

I tell you what though...it looks a lot better than the caps paying Justin Schultz that money for 2 years
- TPC

Honestly it’s a two year deal itself and he’s above average, I really have zero issue with any deal signed today for any team, money was not exorbitant

I agree but to play devil's advocate for a second, they have Hedman and Sergachev. Their 3rd best defenseman is Ryan Mcdonagh.
- picklerick

Our kids could make us 5 deep and while I’ll take Hedman over anyone of those we have just as much potential

Watched a few interviews with Gorton and he said they’ve had ongoing discussions with ADA about moving to the left side. I don’t think he gets traded.
- nyrangers9479

That’s what I had envisioned, ADA-Trouba is a very intriguing pair followed by Lindgren-Fox and eventually Miller-Lundkvist, Hajek most likely will be dealt unless he starts to show us otherwise

Supposedly there might have been a Puljujarvi for Lias trade on the table but Edmonton wanted Lias+. Once Lias was trades EDM inked Puljujarvi an hour later

He’s the worst defenseman in the league...an even MORE excellent way to put it.

Cool he’s our 7th defenseman, he’d be top 4 though on the Flyers

We dodged a bullet on that contract. I know many of us wanted him here.
Now we have a washed up Jack Johnson instead, at least the contract is good for a change.

They can probably just bury him in the minors if he sucks

I really like the signings today. Very under the radar kind of guys. Especially Blackwell, Brodzinski and Bitetto, very solid depth guys. This is all we’re gonna get tho, it just doesn’t look like anything big will happen

Maybe this the the end of the rebuild kind of. It’s been built, now we watch it grow

Still have 2 big decisions remaining: Sign or trade Strome and or D'Angelo.
